Afternoon all.

Sunny and in the low 40s here.

Kids are outside playing and I am painting the SC wheels today. The garage is about 65 degrees.

Well I am glad they finally got the hell out of my house, I was abut to start charging them rent, but I know a long showing is a good sign, and they are very interested in the extra lot that goes along with it.
On a fun note Beth and I rolled over to dads place and popped the cherry on the new spoon, man I like that thing but Beth seems to like it better since her bullets went where she told them too better then mine did. I am used to that, she has always been a better shot than me in sub 300 yard stuff. When the zombies come I get the ones waaaaaaaaaaaaay over there and she gets the ones that can be smelled

Cool news Rick!

Golly computers are sure fun. Insert long string of expletives and some cussing of your choice and start with George Carlin's 7 words you can say on radio & TV and work up from there.

I finally have my mother board and drives moved to to the new HUGE FRICKING case. It is 50% bigger than the old tower case. It has room for 6 3.5 inch hard drives and 4 2.5 inch drives as well as 3 - 5.25 inch drives. I can fit both video cards in there with room to spare and I may go for three if that will help.

The frustrating thing is how little information comes with the cards. I will still need to get an Molex to 6 pin PCI express video card connectors. If I can't get that I will need a new power supply with all the connectors needed.

My current supply is 650 watt. That should run everything with ease.

OK, back to making that SSD drive work like it should.

newegg has the 6 pin adapters you are looking for. i have a couple myself. i am assuming that you are talking about the extra power connector for the video cards.

and if you are using some really power hungry video cards, you might want more power supply. what processor and video cards and how many hard drives are you using?

It has three spinning 1 Tb hard drives and one Blue Ray and a 500 gig SSD. The video cards are a pair of Geeforce GTX 980 cards. 4 mb cards each.

It has 5 fans counting CPU fan but not counting the power supply fan.
It has 32 mb or Ram and it is a 8 core Intel i7

A gamer would love it but there are no games on it.

yeah, you MIGHT want more power supply. 650W should cover it, but those video cards are gonna want some power. then again, i am prolly FOS.

If the lights don't dim when the computer is booting up, the power supply is too small.

As you face all that makes this a new day even if not as pleasant as you like, smile knowingly. Even if you aren't any better off than before, THEY don't know that now do they? And you should find some satisfaction in that.

In other words..

Crap, Morning again. Just shut up and none of that happy smilin BS either.
