That sounds like something I would say.

RKDinOKC 06-22-2017 01:18 AM

I'm not supposed to say ANY of that stuff since I've been certified all Sensitive and such.

Porsche-poor 06-22-2017 07:00 AM

I feel sure everyone uses 100% of their brain right now. I have never heard a doctor or anyone for that matter say "The brain injury was not too bad because it was in the part of the brain no one uses or needs"

Morning all. The long commute down the hall does not take much time.

I had to stop to eat lunch so I guess I am on my lunch break. Dang boss around here is a real jerk. Lots of work and no paycheck at all. At least I did not have to get up at 5:40 AM like yesterday. And I am back to shorts and a t-shirt. :D:D:D

I went over to my partners house the other day at about 3:30 PM and he said we need to discuss the dress code. He was in his swim trunks and a t-shirt with the sleeves ripped out, barefoot. It is pretty difficult to get any more casual than that. He had been down to the neighborhood pool. We declared dress code is canceled so I guess I will have to work in my underwear and find some black socks.

Porsche-poor 06-22-2017 09:48 AM

You dress like that and that's when the clients will come.

flipper35 06-22-2017 09:54 AM

I know people a doctor could say that to.

David, we have a pretty comfy couch but I fear it may not be far enough.

Need to bake the headlight lenses on tonight and put them and the wiring harness in tomorrow.

I put tape on the garage door and marked where the truck was so I could compare and get them lined up. The OEM light is, how would you put it, sort of lacking in lumens and definition. There is sort of a splotch where it shines like it is covered in Vaseline.

We had only a few walk ins per month when we had a retail building. Most days the only time the door chimed was when the mail was delivered or a package from a delivery service.

We don't have much retail, never have. I have applied for a sales tax license because we do sell prints on occasion, but not yet. The vast majority of what we do is created and delivered as digital data and delivered on the internet. Bigger jobs get a thumb drive and big jobs get a hard drive. I hope we get a job that needs a mega multiple terabyte drives for delivery. When that happens I might get a Cayman GT4 as a daily driver. Right now that is as much a dream as a new state of the art digital mapping camera. The new camera from the big companies are 3/4 to a million bucks. Just a little out of reach. ;)

flipper35 06-22-2017 10:21 AM

So where will you get your prints and images now?

GH85Carrera 06-22-2017 10:33 AM

That huge archive is just locked up in the building. Even if he gave them to us we don't have the place to store them. The generated a few grand per year and were profitable because they just sat there. The filing system is 5 different systems depending on what era you are looking in. It took me 10 years to really figure it out. I have no idea what will happen to it.

The prints we can get done for us cheap. If that gets to be a a regular thing we will buy a printer. Hopefully after we can afford to lease a building. One of my friends lives just a mile north of me. He has a printer that he will print for us cheap. I just need a customer to order some prints.

Still looking for a plane or are you waiting on that?

RKDinOKC 06-22-2017 12:09 PM

Oh noooo, according to a subject in my spam quarantine my prescription for Pot is about to run out. And didn't even know I had one! Guess I could have been buying the Pot I don't smoke legally all this time.

If you have a pot prescription do you get in trouble if you don't fail a company drug test?

The third employee at the old company was the part time person and our main pilot. He owns a beautiful 210T and a 1956 140, one motorcycle, a pickup and a car. He is single and retired from civil service. He loves the old 1965 Cessna 206 that the company has owned since 1969. He has spent many thousands of hours in it. It is ugly (the 206 not the pilot) as a airplane can get but it is a farm truck or work truck. He has made an offer on the old 206 and I have not heard if they have agreed on a price. It has a fair market value but what that is needs to be determined, it is a very high time airframe. If he buys it we will rent the airplane with pilot and have a flat rate. My partner is a pilot and even rated as an instructor. He will have to fly any projects that might come up until we have access to the 206.

That 206 would be perfect for a movie. It does not look like much, but it really is mechanically sound. Imagine the hero needing to rent a pilot and airplane to fly over the swamp or volcano or jungle, they walk up to it and say no way. I would fly anywhere with that pilot and that airplane.

RKDinOKC 06-22-2017 06:16 PM

oh boy, sold the x-pipe that fits the stock exhaust manifolds on the 928 for $400.

Now if I can just find something to sell for about $10K for the rest of the bill I will be able to keep the cash I've been saving.

GH85Carrera 06-22-2017 07:32 PM

A kidney?

porsche4life 06-22-2017 10:22 PM

Farking ac isn't cooling now. Crawled up in the attic and evaporator coil is frozen up. Time to call a pro.

RKDinOKC 06-23-2017 01:33 AM

That sucks in this hot weather. Too hot to take Pepper with me for fear of being accused to aminal cruelity. Do have rear A/C for her in the back seat though.

Would had to be an AC professional. Just think, everywhere they go the A/C don't work and once they get it working they gotta go someplace else that it don't work.

Porsche-poor 06-23-2017 07:00 AM

morning all. one more day till the weekend!!!!

GH85Carrera 06-23-2017 07:53 AM

Morning all.

My wife forgot to set the alarm. It goes off now 15 minutes after I used to get to work. I told her I was likely to be late and stuck in traffic and the boss around here is a real jerk that likely will not pay me this week. The traffic was not too tough, both dogs were in the hall to remind me to feed them. I got them fed and was in the office one minute late.

I did remember to kiss my wife good by before leaving for work. ;)

RKDinOKC 06-23-2017 08:12 AM

Yea Friday. Makes me think of jumping and shouting, like done in Animal House when Shout is played by Otis Day and the Nights.

flipper35 06-23-2017 10:18 AM

In a previous life I had a very short commute. Not as short as ya'll, but it took 47 seconds to walk to work. One day, it took several minutes after I found out how hard it is to walk on what turned out to be a broken ankle. Even in the winter it was a pretty easy commute since all I had to do was cross a parking lot.

Happy freaking Friday! Fridays would be better without meetings with people. Especially when you have to repeat the conversation with the same person from a day ago.
