Did you get tickets for the welcome party? It is always a nice blowout. If you don't tickets I happen to have some I will not need. You can have em for free.

I have a friend that is supposed to pick up the grill badges, goodie bag and tickets. He is going to try to sell the tickets but I suspect that is a lost cause.

You could call UShipIt they have on that show Shipping Wars. They do quick ships where the shippers auction for lowest price to take the shipment. If you have watched the show, the car most likely would NOT arrive undamaged.

Stijn!!

Don't worry I would not win one if they had 1000 free cars. I have never even won anything more than a t-shirt that was a child size and pretty much useless for me.

Actually have had someone complain on Facebook last year... I put an Amlerican flag on a German car. Guess I need more sensitivity training. Intolerant $U#@*!!.

The Bob showed up. He contacted my other brother and they sat at Starbucks for about 30 minutes before calling me to let me know he was in town. Starbuck is less than 1 mile from my house. When I walked into Starbuck's Bob was already sneezing and blowing his nose like crazy. Now that he is at my house he is having less of a reation, but he is complaining more that he is allergic to my dog. Not sure how that works.

Oh, and he rode in my car to PetSmart and Lowes and wasn't having any problems even though it needs cleaned and has dog hairs everywhere, Pepper is shedding bushels of hair because of the hot hot weather.

Told you guys it was going to be a fun weekend!

Most people put up a American flag made in China, so what is the difference?

My flag is all Murcian. It is a Valley Forge all made in the USA. It is a quality sewed together flag, not the silk screened cheapies sold in most stores.

It is up flying now on my on the side of the house with the garage. We washed the with car today. Well OK, we washed the white Porsche. Well OK we washed the 2017 vehicle. I will wash my 32 year old Porsche this evening when the shade is over the driveway. I will likely wash the Elky tomorrow. I guess the real clue is I said WE washed the car. For some reason WE wash her cars and I wash my cars alone.

She must really love you not taking any of the joy you get from washing your own cars.

When growing up my Parent's friends Von and Jenny Hayflea did everything together. When he worked on his cars, and he did a LOT, she would dress up like Rosie the riveter in coveralls with her hair in a kerchief and hand him tools and parts. When he handed one back trading for the next tool, she cleaned it and put it in it's proper place. He was always handed a tool that was clean as new. Their garage and his cars were immaculate!

Welp, I am pretty sure I have invented a few new cuss words today.

I started my yard work and the 40 year old edger fired up on the second pull as usual. Old school technology, Brigs and Stratton engine from the old days of American made goodness. Then the 10 year old string trimmer fired up on the 5th pull as usual. Two stroke goodness and the edging and trimming was done.

Out comes the 24 or 25 year old mower. It is a Lawn Boy M Series with the Magnisum chassis and the engine mixes the oil from two tanks much like a motorcycle. It usually starts on the 5th pull since there is no primer button just a choke. After 10 pulls no joy in Carrera land. That is when the new profanity was invented. I paid about 800 bucks for it right after we got married. The $25 mower I had at my bachelor pad was flat wore out and smoked like like crazy and it was not self propelled.

Anyway, once again I tore into the mower and this time I put a new "module" on it. It replaces a distributor and points so it is "more reliable" and modern. Yea, right I get about 5 or 8 years out of them.

"While I was in there" I made the connector wire not just belts and suspenders, it uses duck tape, glue, deck screws and nails. Well actually just a new wire with fresh connectors with solder and solid crimps.

Anyway, I fried up on the first pull and I finished mowing the yard. The 7 year old leaf blower started on the 4th pull as usual.

Another 5 hours of fun in the yard.

We took house guests to the beach and Marina. We also went to lunch with our son & DIL. No cussing was involved.

Fun day with Bob. Woke up to him yelling a the poor information operator trying to find the closest Best Buy. He said he wanted to call them to see if they had a battery for his HP laptop. Told him he needed to learn how to use the iPhone I gave him. Pulled out mine, pushed and held the home button and said Closest Best Buy. I popped up with the phone humber, address, hours, pinned map, and a button to get directions from his current location. He messed with his iPhone for an hour and wasn't able to do that. Even with simple instructions.

Turns out our Best Buy, with Geek Sqaud does not stock parts for his HP laptop like his does. He does had a $200 a year service contract with his local Geek Squad for 3 computers and his HP laptop is one of them.

Later we had coffee at Starbucks with my other brother. He told him about trying find the Best Buy. Other brother pulled out his iPhone, said "Where's Best Buy" and got the same information I did.

Helped him setup the old to me Mac Mini I am giving him. The new Mac OS wecome screen comes up and he asked me what to do. I said, "Read and Do what it says." Every time a new screen came up asking him to set a preference he would ask me what to do, got to where Read the $#@((! instructions was a more appropriate answer. He would say he is and old man, I would say that is a poor excuse for not thinking for yourself.

Personally think there are some people that just shouldn't have computers. Told him he needs to contact his local Apple store and take advantage of the free classes they have for using his computer.

Told me he asked the geek squad guys about getting a Mac. They said he should get one. He said they are too expensive. They told him he had already spent more money with them just fixing his PC he could have bought a Mac and not needed them. Sounds like they are pretty frustrated with him as well.
