Nightfall, yeah, that was it!

The planetary theories try to explain eclipses. Doesn't help the climate change experts further their cause and we don't want to offend them! So, a solar eclipse is really when the bad environmental chemicals bubble up through the hole in the ozone blocking out the sun. So it is really a sign we need to all drive electric cars or the cloud of bad emissions is going to extinguish the sun.

No noticeable change in sunlight here in SoCal. I want my money back! :D

I'd post a picture of my view of the eclipse but it will look the same tomorrow and the next day as well.

Saw the one in '79 didn't need to get all stressed over this one.

Got busy on a call to MS tech support and didn't get to go try the phone selfie thing. Did notice it got a little darker outside though.

The light color (temperature) outside did look a bit different since it is blocking the source (eclipse) to make it dimmer instead of filtering it (ie clouds).

it did do that here but not really dark like around Bend where I grew up.

Just a little disappointed the eclipse didn;t cause everyone to freak out and civilization as we know it go into total chaos and anarchy.

The aliens took over, but saw the mess we have and said screw this and the left and traveled back in time and left us alone.

Also possible.

Didn't get any notice of when and were to report for assimilation.

Do you think there is anyone that thinks they were abducted by aliens and their memories were replaced with getting a colonoscopy?

Good post eclipse day. What will the press talk about today? Oh yea, Trump bashing, there is always that.

My printer at home is a nice little compact laser printer that is 2.5 years old. It prints fast and will print on both side of the paper. It is wireless and USB so even if the computer is off we can print from iPhones and iPads. It has been great. I did a page count and that rolled it to 1001 pages.
The problem is I need a copier, and with working with the government agencies that is still using 19th century technology (fax) I need a fax on occasion.
I ordered a COLOR laser printer, copier, scanner & fax printer that is just a little bigger for under $190. Just amazing. I remember buying the HP Laser Jet II that was HUGE and weight a ton back in the 1990s and it was several thousand bucks and printed at 4 pages per minute with just a few shades of grey.
