My Otter Box does a great job of protecting the phone. I have dropped it several times and had zero damage.

I guess the other option I REALLY want is some magic headphones or ear buds to listen to music that fold up or roll up into the tiny package. Then I can wear them to listen to my music instead of the horrible music some stores play especially near Christmas. I was in Ace Hardware and they have Christmas music that must have come from a 1960s TV special for kids.

So, if you used the voice activated Siri and are having lunch with a couple of friends that also use voice activated Siri...And you Say "Siri show me Porn Hub" Does Porn Hub come up on everyone at the tables iPhone?

Or tell Siri to play some song you know everyone has on their phone, do they all start playing synced?

Porsche-poor 12-07-2017 07:56 AM

yawn I didn't get enough sleep last night.

Nope. My business partner an I both use iPhones. We tried to fake Siri out with each others phones. It does not work.On a rare occasion she (Siri) will respond to something that she thought I asked her about. That is rare.

Maybe it would be fun to make an app that would play the same song on a bunch of phones at the same time.

Sounds like juatification for a Siesta!

Burger King had a commercial that tricked OK Google into opening a page on the Whopper.

Oh, and I hate Christmas music. Well, I will listen to TSO, but for the most part the only viable solution to Christmas music is a stun gun. Come to think of it that would be handy in WalMart also. Mommy, mommy, I want this and that. Grow your butt up and get your 34 year old self out of your parent's basement.

At least nothing major is broken today.

GH85Carrera 12-07-2017 09:25 AM

The only Christmas song I can think of that I like is the AC/DC song:

<iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GSHrHUtJ68c" frameborder="0" gesture="media" allow="encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

And to be completely and totally clear, I like the song, but I DO NOT WANT A mistress for Christmas! No way no how.

But the song is cool. ;)

You might end up with a pillow in the freezer should you grab one for Christmas.

Why do people try to make things easier for you by making them harder for you?

Oh, our eldest decided that a job might not be that bad. You get money and she has been enjoying her volunteer work. Now, if she can just get her drivers license.

RKDinOKC 12-07-2017 10:46 AM

I never really understood how Volunteer and Work go together. Seems to me it is either one or the other.

Phew, just made the airport run. Will Rogers World Airport is in the southwest part of OKC and I live in the northeast part. It is interstate 95% of the way, but it is still a 25 minute drive on the heavy traffic interstate.

I had to pick up my business partner. He has been out for a week flying a job for (redacted due to confidentiality contract) that is a flying big project for (redacted due to confidentiality contract) that all we did was provide pilot services. The company that manufactures the aerial camera we use, sold (redacted due to confidentiality contract) two of the camera systems like we have.
The have a big project for (redacted due to confidentiality contract) and needs help to fly it all.

Anyway the point is that the client that hired us just sent an email to the company that manufactures the camera to say that my business partner is nearly a hero for the flying he did. They (redacted due to confidentiality contract) had hired another pilot that spent a week trying, and got very little accomplished. My partner was showing (redacted due to confidentiality contract) how to use the flight planning software properly, and pointed out the issues they were making by doing it the way they were. The big light bulb went on and they understood. They have a terabyte of images to process and want my partner back next week. The day rate may have to go up. :D

I should have phrased it better. She enjoys her volunteer time enough that she thinks it would be a good way to earn money as a teen.

I volunteered to stop working almost 21 months ago.

Here are a couple of shots from the Porsche display area at the LA Auto Show.

Saleen had a couple of nice cars on display. The second one only offers 1300 HP. Hardly worth considering, eh?

A couple of the cars on display are seemingly able to handle steep inclines or even drive on walls.

Hey I know that company. They are really big on those large black sharpie pens and love to use them.

Jim Richards 12-07-2017 11:34 AM

Vdub had their electric retro-looking bus concept there. Their spokes-babe said it'll actually be on the market in a few years.
