I hope all of you have a happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. That is my plan.

Happy thanksgiving all. We have the house ready for a crowd of family tomorrow and I have the smoker ready to smoke a turkey and ham.

RKDinOKC 11-22-2017 11:30 PM

Happy Turkey Day!

GH85Carrera 11-23-2017 03:54 PM

Stijn!!

We are back home and another successful trip is in the books. Good family visit, good food. Good leftovers. Burp.

Even some leftover home made apple dumplings. Kinda like a single serving apple pie. Yummy.

The mean bad evil boss has me working on Thanksgiving day and no overtime pay. I will get even by sleeping with his wife and driving his 85 911 Carrera and her Porsche Macan.

RKDinOKC 11-23-2017 07:48 PM

Your boss better not find out you are sleeping with her!

With all the hypersensitivity, why isn't Black Friday considered a racial comment?

Good Morning.

GH85Carrera 11-24-2017 06:00 AM

Morning all, back to work for me.

Of course mostly is is set up a project al let the computer churn for several hours. I do have one project I want to get on a thumb drive so I can mail it out today.

Brother Bob is visiting. Seems to think it's my responsibility to keep him entertained. Yahoo as free movie channels that play several movies in a row with no commercials. Found I can put it on one that plays sci-fi movies and he goes right to sleep!

RKDinOKC 11-24-2017 08:49 AM

The other white meat?

Hola, y'all. SmileWavy

I hope your turkey-day way a very pleasant one. We went to our son & DIL's house and enjoyed Thanksgiving with them and our DIL's family. We really like her family, and larger gathering was great fun. We never had that during the years we lived in DC.

RKDinOKC 11-24-2017 11:12 AM

Turkey dinner was hosted at Nephew's. Had Bro and wife, wife's Sis, Wife's other sis and bil, their oldest boy and wife, 2 boys and girl. Other Bro. Host Nephew's wife, oldest boy and prego wife, girl and her boyfriend, and 4 younger boys. Adds up to...20 for Thanksgiving.

Between dinner and dessert nephew's wife had given each person a conversation card which was a queston for them and everyone at the table to answer. Stuff like is your bedtime early or late. What was your first car. Do you like to play inside or outside. Do you like to cook. etc. My question was do you like to play inside or outside. My answer was I like playing inside out. I like driving which is outside, but am inside the car.

Oh, and I did take my brothers suggestion and wore pants. LOL.

The family at our Thanksgiving meal was all my wife's relatives. They are not a talkative bunch. And controversy is minimal to none. Mostly it was trying to get the kids to look up from the electronic devices to actually talk.

RKDinOKC 11-24-2017 01:18 PM

My niece said that was what she came up with the questions for was to keep everyone from just staring at their phones.

Usually the SIL has everyone go around the table and say what they are thankful for.

Wow, what a purdy day.

76 degrees, and a mild 10 mph wind. I decided the slave driving boss could just get mad, I was going to go wash the El Camino. So I did. It looks lots better. Then I realized I just got screwed into washing that cheap SOB's car. Dang, this is confusing. I guess I will just keep driving it.

Happy Saturday! Only six more Saturdays to go until next Saturday. SmileWavy

It looks like a pretty day outside. A drive in the 964 garage queen would be nice, but holiday shoppers out there will probably mean I'd better wait until people are back to work in a couple of days. So, it'll likely be yard work for me today.

Yea, the days do run together for me now. It is a rare day that I don't spend some time working. Today the work will be easy. I bought a 2TB SSD that will become my boot drive. It is a 560 MB/sec screamer. Hopefully it will make things go faster. The new video card made a big difference on Photoshop, and a nice improvement with the mapping software.

Now I just need to clone the current boot drive to the new SSD drive.

My old home email - internet surfing & Quicken computer is being transformed into a real high performance machine.
