It was a Morning, but it was also a Monday, so am not comfortable using the term "Good."

Have not received communication regarding reinstatement of vehicular transportation availability.

Think that is the onlyist way to update and backup the iPad despite having wifi. Call and ask Apple about it.

We got snow over the weekend. Went to start the **** blower and after a couple pulls it wouldn't start. Crap. Plug it in and use the electric start and start smelling gas. Crap. Turn of the gas to the carb and crank to dry it out. Turn the gas back on and choke it and after a long 10 second crank it starts. Usually starts first pull. I could have shoveled the little bit I had to do in the time it took to start the thing. Supposed to be up to 12* today and more snow. Coming down now actually and the map shows the storm stretching from Madison WI to Lincoln NE.

Happy day.

After my stroke Brother Bob has started sending me all these freaking emails on herbal remedies. They are obviously from Spam he has received. They are ALL those sites that have a 30-45 minute video about how you need to get their pills and that the site is going to be taken down because some herb used in them is illegal or something.

Luckily they all go to my spam quarantine. But dang, I have tried to explain to him what spam is. And that just because they say there is a conspiracy to keep you from getting something does NOT mean it works. Told him I am not wasting my time and money on that crap. Sill, he keeps forwarding it to me.

Honestly, thought you would have to call support to accept an AppleID. It wouldn't let me get any further than that after resetting it.

My SSID is Homey. Only one of 8 that show up in range with a name and not the default router ID.

My guest network is "Pick This One Bob." Don't have any security on it because Bob can't stay connected when it does. Turn it off unless Bob is visiting to keep neighbors from getting on and slowing down my wifi.

Bob called me last night. His computer would not play sound with a video. He had the computer muted. Called night before last was trying to get external speakers to work. Had them plugged into the microphone jack on the mac mini.

I have one guest SSID called "Hey you kids get off my lan" but it has a password.

Good no longer Monday day. Today I have fun with TSA. day. I figure if I scream and cuss at them enough and demand a safe room and coloring books they will just roll their eyes and let me through.

Likely the civilized world may end today. I don't have my pocket knife with me to fix things. My old boss called it the "company knife" and it fixed every machine and computer in the place over the years. It is a Swiss Army Officer's knife, my dad gave me one that had a black handle back in the 1960s. That one was lost in a move long ago but has been replaced a couple of times over the years. I have had a knife like it in my pocket since I was in grade school, but not this week.

I have a Wegner swiss army knife. The scissors are better than the Victronix. If you look at the picture the scissors spring is par of the blade lock and is angled where it pushes the blade forcing the blades together so you cut things instead of folding them, The one I carry is called a pocket tool chest. It has an extra couple of blades. Besides the Wenger scissor spring the most important being the micro eyeglasses screwdriver. The handle is also brushed stainless so it doesn't show when getting all scratched up with the other stuff in my pocket.

Understand Wegner quit making knives. It is always the good stuff they quit making. When I heard I got an extra one while they were still available.

The Victorinox that I had the longest had a squared off edge on the Phillips screw driver and a nail file on the flat edge. Not they are all just round. The original ones did not have the toothpick and tweezers. I use the larger blade all the time, and the smaller blade I keep sharper for delicate cutting. It has a bottle opener on the main screw driver. Over the years on many occasions someone has handed me a beer bottle with a non twist cap. I can get my knife out, open the bottle and put my knife away in the time they go looking for a bottle opener to hand me. I just hand them the bottle cap instead. They all ask how I got it open so fast. I just smile.

Plug it into computer with iTunes running. The press and old both the power and home buttons until restarts. Evidently when plugged into iTunes it resets instead of restarting.

Sorry it is being such a %$@@! The $#!@^!! @!@$@ ##()@@#&&*|| with a watermelon?

After the reset try to set it up without naming a backup source. You can add a backup source later. I don't think a itunes accout is REQUIRED. Try to skip that step. You can always add the Apple id later. Heck it has been since the original iPhone that I set up a phone from scratch so what do I know.

I tried to set it up without any of that and it gave no option to do so. Either enter something that works or go back. Right off the bat it wanted an appleId or nothing.

Yep I needed an apple id and the wife gave it hers but then it got stuck at back up. I am wondering if starting over with it plugged into a computer would work. If not oh well.
