Wow, you sure know haw to party like a wild man on the weekends!

Maybe you should paint the house, or split rick of wood for the fireplace.

Porsche-poor 05-03-2019 07:29 AM

Paint the house? Well at least I'd be home that way.

Freaking low life telemarketers!

I just looked at my home phone call logs. We have been getting from 10 to 12 calls per day. At least they don't leave messages. I am just glad they are not calling my cell phone. I use my cell phone as my business line, so I answer all phone calls. I never know if it is a new customer, or a regular customer, calling from a different phone number.

Think I'm gonna move all the computer stuff to the front bedroom.
While bro lived here it was his bedroom. Set a desk up for my comuter in the masterbedroom.
He moved out and just used he bedroom for a guest bedroom.
Since mom has passed that's the guest bedroom so can use the font bedroom for home office and make the master a proper master bedroom.

I use both the verizon tool, Call Filter and another free one called Hiya. When iPhone rings it tells me if it is spam or telemarketer etc and I don't answer, Has cut even those down quite a bit.

GH85Carrera 05-03-2019 08:11 AM

Sounds like a good plan Richard. Moving stuff is such a fun thing, and computers are just extra fun. At least they are not super heavy.

Of course now that I have legitimate business office, the deduction for home offices is gone. My taxes always seem to just go up and up, like insurance rates and utility costs.

As a kid when I was 16 and living at home, dad did pay for my insurance. When I turned 18 I was on my own for insurance. Ouch. I heard that when one turns 25 insurance drops, yea right. And taxes were lots cheaper for married couples when I was single. When I got married, the tax laws were changed to give the advantage to single people.

Now it is fairly even for married and single for taxes. My insurance recently was raised a few bucks per month. I think partly because of the recent hail storm. We don't even have a claim. Our roof is less than 12 months old, and a class 5 hail resistant roof. It survived the last storm with no real damage. Virtually all the folks in the neighborhood are all getting new roofs, except us.

Overall, for two people driving three cars, and the 911 & the El Camino are listed agreed value, I pay low rates for insurance. The 911 is like 75 cents per day to insure.

RKDinOKC 05-03-2019 09:03 AM

Told me the only way to get lower car insurance is to get married, and THAT depends on her record.

Got a desk to move and it's heavy. Prolly need to get a dolly.

Jim Richards 05-03-2019 09:08 AM

Get yourself a dolly to help you move a desk and lower your auto insurance rate. But, can she cook? Either way, clever man!

My wife and I both have perfect driving records. No tickets in over 30 years and no wrecks. Mrs. Carrera had a wreck in the 1989 or 1990, and I have not had one since 1978 when a lady ran a stop sign and got me. It has been over 40 years since I got a ticket. I do have the deer hit from 12 years ago, but that don't consider that a driver error event.

RKDinOKC 05-03-2019 09:23 AM

My house is not square. Drawing the front bedroom and it is not squaire. 2 inches difference distances between walls depending on which end you measure.

Need to get a low vacuum PCV valve for the Cobra. Tracks don't allow open breathers anymore. Has to be a closed system. That means oil catch can too as the oil vapors effectively lower the octane. At least the valve covers will stay cleaner.

There is a weather inversion. We have your weather here today.

It is 57 degrees and raining here today. At least the sun is finally coming back shortly, and the sun and warmth return tomorrow.

Porsche-poor 05-03-2019 01:37 PM

only about 3 degrees warmer but sunny out.

GH85Carrera 05-03-2019 02:51 PM

Dang, 18 telemarking calls just so far today. One day!

Mornin SmileWavy

Can't wait till Thursday - hopefully my last day with this fcuked up employer.

For the last 4 weeks HR have been talking about aborting or delaying the redundancy. It's severely fcuking with my head! If they haven't made a decision by Thursday, then it's 'SHOW ME THE MONEY' and I'm finally free of their 5hit.

GH85Carrera 05-03-2019 05:59 PM

Good luck!

Outback Porsche 05-03-2019 09:31 PM

Thanks Glenn.

We’re taking our mind off it all, and enjoying a birthday party at the track today.

After 25 years here, it’s the second time we’ve been to a race day.

Jim Richards 05-03-2019 10:02 PM

It sounds like your company is pretty effed up, Jeff. I hope everything goes well for you. SmileWavy
