Or more than was for personal consumption. Most states still are upset about missing the taxes on alcohol at all. My beer haul was likely only enough to get a real Barney Fife upset, and not bother most cops. But I did not want to push my luck.

Don't remember having battery issues until my Porsches.

I will take battery issues vs taking the bike to work last year and 2 miles down the road it up and quit.

Don't allow myself to ride bikes since I was 25. Stick to vehicles that I can't be thrown free as easily. Think it was the broken femur that was the deciding factor.

I grew up on dirt bikes. Have a hard time with street bikes.

I had both. Dirt bikes till I was 16 then a street bike till 19-20. Loved both but then there was less traffic where I grew up.

I made it to my brother and sister in law’s house with no real issues. Traffic was fine overall until Birmingham at 5:00 PM on a Friday. Just gridlock and slow traffic. My GPS had me take a detour to supposedly save time. I doubt it saved a second. It took me down a road that is lined with businesses, and long traffic lights every 1/4 mile. It took 30 minutes to get back on the interstate. It pushed my arrival back a bit, but I survived.

My sister in law is a nurse, and gets up at 3:00 am everyday. I got up at 5:30 to get ready to go, and she had a great breakfast ready, coffee, and we just finished. Just pack the luggage back in the car and head south. Boca her we come.

I’m sure envious of you guys out there on a road trip. For now, I’ll just have to live vicariously through you guys. Have fun!

This is the dump we are staying at. It is a totally private hotel. So if a non guest want to eat at one of the restaurants or shop at the stores, they can’t. No money is exchanged. Everything is charged to the room, and it is done with a card they issue.
