Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

Maybe I should do a 100 kWh battery system with onboard charger. 200+ kW rear drive motor.

There is an electric 928 and a nitrous 928. As well as turbo and superchatged. An na original motor holds the speed record for postal runs, 212mph, A superchsrged one is just breaking 200 doing the postal runs. A nitrous one makes the most power and fastest 1/4 mile.

Jim, what you really need is an electric conversion, and a charging station that runs on diesel fuel. That way you can tell your friends you have a diesel powered Z car!

Since I want the wheels they are just going to send me the cash for the car and not even change the registration.
Then I get to go pick it up.

You can then sell it as a "clean title" not totaled car.

Do you have the old wheels to put back on?

I would have suggested Jim get the Hellephant crate, but they are all sold out.

Actually, the I6 in the Z is a nice motor and they sound pretty good.

We built a 260Z in a racing sim and when you got into the 350/400hp range it needed much better tires, dampening, brakes.......

Back when I was looking for a new crate engine for my El Camino I started looking at other engines beside the $1,700 brand new, not rebuilt, base 350 I ended up buying.

With a small block it is simple to get 300 to 400 HP and just keep going up in HP and cost. My transmission is a 2004R and built to handle the HP, but the rear end would need an upgrade. And with all the extra HP and putting in a new rear end would be the time to do a rear disc brake upgrade, and of course bigger front brakes. Might as well do a drive shaft upgrade. Many folks have stuffed a 454 or even 500 cubic inch engine up front. Never gonna happen to the Elky while I own it.

And suddenly my $1,700 engine swap was morphed into a 25 to 50 grand modification. For a daily driver none of that made sense. I can go buy a new vehicle for that and have all that performance, and more for less in a car like millions of other people have. Maybe a Mustang. Those are rare and exotic.

There is only a 4:15 in the specific standard time zone.
And the specific daylight time zone.
And maybe in the eastern time zone, not sure.
But I've been told that it skips the middle O'the country for some reason.

if it's any consolation, we don't have a 10:30 pm. The clock here jumps from 9 pm straight to around 4-ish in the AM, unless I drank lots of water the night before.

I understand!

My wife's aunt and uncle were 100% farmers. They lived the Walton's lifestyle. Lots of kids, and real farming to do 7 days a week.

They all got up at 4:00 AM ate a huge breakfast, and started the day in the dark. Lunch at noon, and dinner at 6:30 and finish the days chores until dark.

They finally retired, sold the farm, and moved to town. They still get up at 4:00 AM and eat breakfast, then go "watch TV" and fall asleep until 8:30 or so, and continue the day.

The week of Parade, I was up at 6:15 most every day to get to the parking lot to go do the day's activities. In bed by 11:00 and do it again the next day. And that was on vacation, so it was all fun!

Oh well, I’m really not a MOPAR guy anyway. What I really want is a akin to a street legal go-cart that my wife can stand riding in. When I’m finally able to drive the Z, my first stop is a shop who’s owner used to build and race these early Zs. We’re going to talk suspension stuff.

There’s HP to be had just doing a little massaging of the Z’s I6 head.

I wonder if there’s a coal-powered EV charging station?

The ultimate "green" would be a wood fired steam generator. Just burn the scrap wood and trash to charge the EV vehicle.

Yeah, combining deforestation with green (EV) technology. Glen, that’s a home run!

Be sure to cut down the Sequoias, and Mahogany trees to feed the generators!

Snowy owl habitats are a bonus.

Wanted to put blue neon lights under my 951, and rig them to switch to red when it is making boost!

It had 418 rwhp as a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder.
