The Volt seems like a good car, Sid. We’ve only used electricity to run it so far, but having the ICE to run the car after the 55 +/- miles of electric range is nice. No range anxiety! We also have HOV stickers on it, good until 2022, IIRC.

I am glad some people actually like and enjoy fishing. I would rather watch rust grow that go fishing. All those folks that like fishing are on the water, and out of my way, it that is good.

Just my preference. Much like camping, my idea of camping is a slow internet connection or a twin sized bed.

I like fishing and hunting. So do the kids. My wife likes to fish but not hunt.

We always have good luck fishing so we seldom have time to sit still.

I prefer to hunt at the grocery store. I have a very high success rate at the grocery store!

My brother got all the hunting genes in our family. He loves to deer hunt. He has killed well over 100 in his lifetime of hunting.

Both of his boys love hunting as well. His youngest son now lives in Colorado. He has a moose and elk tag for this season once it gets underway.

He is looking for a lot bigger deep freezer to hod the meat from an elk or moose so he is very optimistic.

At least there at the store you don't have to field dress it.

David, the PM is wonky on my end, you may get doubles.

I prefer my credit card or cash to hauling around a rifle while harvesting food at the store.

My brother prefers his bow and arrow for most of his hunting, but not at the store.

I remember back in the stone ages of the mid 1970s autocrossing in my 914 against the Lotus Super 7. I have always assumed the Lotus and the Caterham 7 are the same basic chassis with different engines.

The Super 7 was a tough competitor and they were in B Stock just like my 914. With the Michelin XWX street tires, and all the floor mats, spare tire, and junk out of my 914 I was able to beat the Super 7 guys but a tiny amount. I came in 2nd overall at the Tri State SCCA meet that was the finals for Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. I was beat by a guy in a 1969 911 S and he was an amazing driver. Back in the days when I cared about winning and being competitive. Now I just do it to have fun, and can't care any less if my time is fast or not.

It's a 2006 Turbo. Was traded to a Porsche dealership for new one in St Louis. On market for 2 weeks.

Autocrossed my X3 just once.

So in recent years, I remember you having:

2 928s
2 944s
A Boxster,
A Land Rover,
The BMW X3
2 Cayennes, and now a new Cayenne. I don't doubt I forgot some of the cars you have had.

I still have the same two cars. Of course that goes back to 1995 when I got the 911.

One of the fast guys at the autocross has a successful business. He rarely brings the same car to the track. I bet he has gone through at least 12 cars in the three years. He gets bored, and get a different car all the time.

My brother is even more a of a long term car keeper than I am. Since 1978 he has has the same two cars. One is a 1955 VW bug, the other a 1976 VW Westfallia camper.

Before you do David, attach a tow rope to our Nissan. It might as well have company on the trip.

I have had the Cobra since 1994. We have had the Durango since 2002.

There are days I miss my old Ramcharger. There are days I hate the Cobra, but I would end up Arkancided if I sold it.

I haven't gone through a lot of cars like some people.

I know I am "special" in many ways.

In my entire life I have owned just 5 cars.

1960 VW Bug
1973 Bug
1974 914 2.0
1986 El Camino
1985 911 Carrera.

My rules: I don't count my wife's cars even if my name is on the title as those are "her car" not mine.

My 911 has the most options with electric windows and mirrors. The Elky has manual wind up windows and manual door locks, but it has an automatic transmission!

My wife's Macan has bells and whistles, and all sorts of fancy gadgets. It is a space ship when compared to my cars.

We had a 911 and I married into a Cavalier. We bought another Cavalier a while ago for a cheap commuter that we didn't car about driving in the winter. That got rear ended and totaled.

Then we have the Nissan. Everything else has been Mopar or Mopowered.
