Yeah we get those in house every once in a while. It never works cause the company is on skype so we just contact the real person and ask if they intended to send out the email.

I got an email from someone or something. It had no text or information as to what it was, except from copier. And it had a PDF attached. It too was deleted, and never looked at.

I guess I could have looked at in on my iPhone, but I was not that curious.

She wouldn't care, it is her car that is in the heated garage with the Cobra now.

Well the boss sent me to the Porsceh dealership. I was forced to test drive the new 2020 911. I drove my antique 911 over there. The new car is a bit more peppy, and has a could (thousand) more gizmos.

With only 440 HP it does tend to boogie. Wow, it is fast. Cool toys all over the place. I ain't gonna buy one. But wow, neat vehicle.

I let my parents borrow our cars. I have a friend that has a nicely setup CJ that I took Em jeeping in. He has taken the Cobra up the mountain switchbacks. We always return them with full tanks. He is a fabricator so I had no worries. If he did anything to it the item would get replaced with something better.

My sister and her husband can drive any of ours as well.

Most people I know I don't have to worry about asking since they can't drive a manual.

Oh Jim, thanks for your concern!

My Bro Bob asked how I could afford another car. Told him I spent my time trying to learn and do things that would pay my bills instead spending all my time on aliens and conspiracy theories.

Looks like it will be a couple of weeks for all the paperwork to go thru before the cayenne is trucked here but i did digitally sign a bill of sale for the Cayenne S Titanium Edition.

Welp, Saturday morning and great weather again. The PCA region had a club drive on Rt66 to winery and then to the Rock Cafe. The Rock cafe was used as inspiration and ideas in the move Cars. They have several signed pieces from the writers thanking them.

My wife and I neither care for wine. I have never had a sip of wine and thought, hey, that is good. Usually my reaction is to try and act like an adult and sip it and nod, and I never finish the glass. I would rather have some cheap beer or really prefer a good German beer. The restaurant is cool, but I just can't see driving all the way up there just to eat a burger. That part of Rt66 is nothing I have not been on many times.

We decided to stay home.

We watched the F1 race. Interesting race with some good racing and some really stupid racing.

Back to Monday. We have several projects for fly this week, so we will be churning on the computers, making them work. But that is why we have the computers.

I may well start looking for the parts to build my new killer computer. One of the latest and fastest CPUs, 256 or maybe 512 Gig of RAM, some super fast video card that is the new standard, as yet to be researched. A pair of 2TB SSDs set up as stripped h for data crunching, and mirrored spinning 4 TB drive for the boot drive, and maybe a 5 drive RAID 5 for long term data storage, size to be determined. And of course it ain't gonna be a laptop.

Moring all. Rain off and on all weekend. Finished a few things on the to-do list and did a bit of relaxing. The wife is in Seattle tonight so I put off watching the F1 race till after work.

Whoops, sorry for the spoilers. It is interesting to watch the strategies of the different teams.

That's what happens when you drag em on the ground like that.

Understand the NY to LA Cannonball record of just over 28hrs was broken in an AMG Mercedes recently.

I have driven several Mercedes models. One BMW, and a plethora of different Porsches over the years. I just drove the new 2020 911 last week. I drove a brand new 996 when they were introduced.

I have only driven a very few Japanese cars. My wife had an Infinity, G35X and I guess I drove my dads Toyota something or other. I have driven several different rental cars and they were all forgettable except may the Hyundai that I drove in 2006. It was kinda fun, but not something I would own.

One of the guys in our Porsche club likes to change cars all the time. He got to thinking about it and came up with over 75 cars he has owned. I am the opposite of that. Since 1974 I have had 3 three cars, and I still own two of those. Not counting my wife's cars in that total. She has had 5 cars since we got married 27 years ago.

We just got a 48TB Synology unit and the price was very reasonable.

In the mid 30s here today. Off to PHX on Wednesday, then drive to Holtville CA.

I fergot the VWs too.
My first car was a 65 bug, but there weren't much German left in it when I was done.
My brother had a square-back that we chopped and turned into a sedan delivery, I drove it around the block a couple times before he sold it.
I had a couple of dune buggies over the years, they had some VW parts. That probably doesn't count.
