OK, well since I have no kids I am a world class expert on raising kids. You just need to tell her how it is going to be!

I just got my bill for the natural gas we use to cook with and heat the water. And of course heat the house, but the furnace is not on.

The fuel use charge is $3.01 for the natural gas itself.
The "fee" the government charges for the franchise is $1.14
The City charges a tax to get their share of $1.55

The gas company charges a monthly charge for Service of $33.35 that pays for the service and the meter and the delivery up to the house and the cost of keeping the infrastructure working.

So my minimum cost to have hot water and cooking gas $39.05 per month. To heat the house in the winter cost just $71.40 per year for the natural gas alone pretty cheap to be comfortable and no chopping wood.

I put on my "garage clothes" this morning. The weather is just too nice to not go out and tinker. I don't even know what car or project I will tackle. There is always something to do with a 34 and a 35 year old high mileage car.

I ended up playing, um er I mean working, on the 911. I put it up on the lift to inspect it, and noticed the crazed cone that attacked me up at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit left its calling card along the bottom of one rocker. Just a little wax-cleaner removed all evidence of the attack. It even got the rim of the rear tire.

Then I went ahead and replaced the dash lights with the LEDs from Carmagic LLC. He has a kit and one spacer. The spacer is for the clock bulb. I just removed the steering wheel to make it easier to get to the instruments. I have a nylon trim removal blade that does great to pry on stuff I don't want to scratch.

It makes a big difference in the brightness of the gauges. Pretty simple swap to do. The one bulb he does not include is the low fuel light bulb for the gas gauge. It is really tiny, and impossible to see in the daylight. I don't get that low on gas often, but it is nice to have the idiot light there in case. The last time I saw it on was on my return trip from Florida. I deliberately try to get back home empty so I can fill up with real gasoline and no gasohol.

Morning all. I "get" to mow the yard shortly. It is 55 degrees right now, and it is almost like cheating to mow in pleasant weather. The master gardener seeded lots of the shady areas with Fescue and "shade grass" seeds two weeks ago. With the cool days the Bermuda is very slow growing and I could go 3 or 4 weeks and not mow it, but the Fescue is growing like it likes this weather, which of course it does.

Havin fun now boss!

My wife informed me this morning that since we washed her car last evening, she will let me help her detail the inside. Golly what a blast. The Macan has almost 15,000 miles now, and the back seats and passenger seat look like new. I can't find one flaw or dirty spot or wear. The driver's seat has some signs of use, but only slight signs the leather is wrinkled from where it is compressed from sitting. No marks or scratches. The entire car looks just virtually new.

I then hit the yard and got it all edged and mowed. Now I can spend a few minutes on the business and take a look at the books and see what transactions need to be updated, and reconciled.

Glen when you are finished, our yard need mowed, raked and baled. The neighbor will pay you for the bales and you can use our tractor and rake.

I did get the cars cleaned and a semi-ceramic on them for the next few months.

We were given a shed to store stuff for the garden and the mower/snow blower. He put it all up for us (and bragged what a good builder he is) but did not anchor it down so I had some long 2x4s and we leveraged it back in place after a storm blew it about 18 inches off the blocks and so we glued the blocks and anchored it to a steel fence post and some 2x2 wooden stakes. I will get a couple straps and anchor that side to the 4x4 posts holding the garden fence up.

Sorry, but I charge more to mow other people's yards than I do for photographing weddings. Just under the price for putting in a sprinkler system or a central vacuum system. I am real dang expensive. It might be cheaper to buy my 911 and El Camino both.

We don't need any more cars. At least according to my wife.

I just went to get the mail. All junk mail.

I had (5) FIVE different companies offering to buy our 182 today. That is nuts.

David, she did tell my mom she only married me for the Cobra.

Glen, start the bidding war at 1.25 million USD.

That is a decent start!

Last time my business partner flew our plane he said he was by himself as usual, but still said out-loud, damn this is a nice airplane. It is pretty, has nice paint, nice interior and everything works as designed. It is nice to have an asset that is not going down in value.

Dang telemarketers. I got a call from the "United States of America" and I was pretty sure it was no one I wanted to talk to, so I just declined the call. I figure if it is real, they will leave a message. Sure enough it was some salesman wanting to inspect my roof. I am 100% certain, I don't want his opinion on my roof. Fortunately the iPhone message is transcribed into text and all I had to do was read the first few lines of he message to know I can delete it, and ignore it.
