We had some HUGE wet snowflakes last night. Quarter size flakes and it all melted almost instantly. Today the streets and the sky is clear, and we get to see the sun for a little while, until the rain and snow returns tonight.

I can make a run to the store for more bananas and other essentials.

Had rain overnight and now looks like 6-8 inches of snow by the end of the day.

My wife wanted a new challenge, so she took a course at a local knitting store on the Brioche Stitch process. It is a weird two sided pattern that is really hard evidently. She bought some really cheap yarn to practice on. She would make a 6 or 8 inch bit of it, and then rip it out and try again.

After several test pieces she got the real high quality wool yarn out, and started on a scarf. After a foot of that, ripped it out since it had errors, and tried twice more before feeling confident enough to rip it out one more time and get going on it. It is about a foot long now, and all the rows are straight and perfect like she wants it to be. It must be a challenge as she is a really top level knitter.

Sounds crazy. My mom used to knit a lot. She made one throw that had a cable pattern that twisted. Know idea how its done.

Oh she has lots of sweaters she made. One has a forest theme with trees and suck all from the same yarn with 3D effects. Cables patterns are easy for her. She has several ladies that come over on Mondays to chat and get help with knitting projects that have issues with.

I only have a couple of long sleeve shirts, and almost never wear them. Two of them I bought to run on track as they require a long sleeved cotton shirt.

The predicted light snow for overnight and this morning. Evidently they were wrong once again.

We go about 8 inches on top of the rain. Was very heavy wet snow to move. Melted off all the hard surfaces after clearing the majority though so the drive is clean.

Weekend trip to the Mall of America. Our daughter went on a field trip when she was in high school and the school made her go with a group of other girls who just wanted to go to the stores we have local to us. No rides, no food places like the guys she was friends with went to. She was ticked she couldn't go with them. Now she can go to the stores she wants. There is a global food market nearby with international restaurants she wants to try as well. The boy doesn't care as long as he can eat meat.

It was 80 degrees in LA yesterday.

But it'll cool off tomorrow, and we might even get some light rain.

Got the computer back. Tech says the HD was probably on its way out. I guess it was so slow that it had failed to complete the update to the next windows version. All better now.

Put in a SSD, and it will make a huge difference.

Did he go ahead and update to Win 11?

We have a PCA club lunch today. They picked a trendy new taco place close to downtown OKC. Looking at the menu, the drink choice is very limited. Several brands of soda, but I don't drink soda. The iced tea is some Hibiscus tea, and that sounds gross. No regular old tea. They have cocktails, but I have not had a cocktail in many decades. No beer, but it is at 11:00 AM and that is a bit early for a beer. So I will have water.

The Tacos all are typical taco truck types with weird ingredients. The font on the menu is super tiny.

It must be designed for phones. I will find something to eat. We have some great members, always fun to chat with.

At the lunch, and old long time friend showed up, on his BMW motorcycle. He bought a 73 914 2.0 six months ago and is getting it back to ready to go. He owns 7 motorcycles, 5 cars, and two boats, and two homes and strangely enough, yes he is single. He has his winter house here in Oklahoma City, to be close to his brother and sister, and long time friends. He has a summer house in northern, NM up in the mountains.

Morning all. Yes he put in a SSD and completed the upgrade. Seems to work fine for the few things we need it to do.

Well we had a visit from the snow people. Started last night about 9pm now we have about 1" of snow/ice mix. Main roads are fine side roads not so much. Took me 40 min to get here.

Rain tonight. Hope tomorrow is decent because I want to bore a hole in the wall for a vent fan. 3-6 inches of snow on Thursday.
