Get off my lawn!

Hey, just got back from the docs office. A shot of steroid in the palm of my hand at the base of my finger. Not too bad. Better than cutting.

Wife mowed for me last Wednesday. Had huge mushrooms by Friday. Has rained too much to mow since. That means I get to mow, sweep up the clippings for the compost and mow again. Fun.

Our mother pigeon is back in its patio nest sheltered by a prosperous yellow flowered viney thingy. I only know because when I started to clip the vines that were fixing to invade the garage, she flew away in a fit of panic. I looked and the nest has a single egg in it. Maybe we will see the hatchling.

David, I hope you are still fighting. We need your input!
My wife's shoulder surgery is now 5 weeks on, and she can finally take a shower on her own. I have to dry off her back, and help her put on her bra. Putting them on a woman is a lot harder than removing them!

Morning all. I have been away from the computer. After the trip to Bend the doc said I was to beat up to do a round of chemo so I got a 2 week break. Next round should be next Wednesday. The kicker being that I have done nothing but sleep at odd times and the last two days have been very painful. I don't know if that is the cancer having a field day without chemo or the natural progression of the cancer. I don't think I will be taking anymore long trips and keep the car rides to short ones for now.

Ok yesterday was another round of chemo. I have been in a lot of pain the last week and the doc saw it yesterday at our appointment. She doubled the dose from 10mg to 20mg every 12 hours and has added something more to help with sleep and appittite. So its a whole new game for me again.

Morning all. I think that did get it right this time. I sleep a lot more just not all at once. But I will take it. Been building a catio for the wife. Forming a cage around the upper deck that only has an entrance from the house side. Finished to roof last night, now its on to the 3 sides and then the cat can play outside all she wants. My son had been helping and found a few things to fix on the design. Hope to be done later today.

Morning all. It took till last Saturday afternoon to finish the cat cage or catio. She loves it. Now to figure out a modification to a slider so that the screen is partially blocked and the lower section has a cat door in it.
Chemo starts Wednest assuming I'm good to go.

Morning all that round of chemo went well, The only down side in a way is that they doubles yet again the pain meds from 20mg to 40mg every 12 hours with no break thru meds at this point. Doc also cleared me to test different TCH based so see if we can keep from leveling up to a new worse narcotic for as long as possible.

Nice looking place for the cats to hang out.
We just returned from a trip to Big Cedar, MO. We hung out with people my wife made friends with in college. It was get up, eat breakfast, eat lunch at 11:30, go to dinner and pig out the next day. Oh, and lots of deserts. Cakes, pies and such. I am not looking forward to the scale in the morning after my shower. Back to smaller meals for a while.

I did get the 911 washed after the trip. Closing in on 202,000 miles.
Tomorrow is the Porsche dealer's Motors in the Morning, and celebration of the PCA's 70th anniversary. Free food, and good times had by all. I will be a 50 year member of PCA next year. I guess that means I have been a member for well over 1/2 the club's existence. I would be a 51 year member if I could find the club back in 1974. It took me 2 years to find how to join.

Afternoon all. Been a long week. The chemo got me good this round/ I am exhausted and should be bald by the of the week. I have know idea why it hit the hair so fast at this round. I think this is round 14 or 15 of chemo. I am certainly not driving anymore the pain meds are ramped way up now.
