I remember days like that growing up in Bend OR. Sort of glad I moved to Tacoma area. At least when we get snow the place shuts down, but I learned to drive in the snow along time ago.

We've got about 4 inches so far but the big storm hasn't made it here yet.
How's Rick doing? Got mucus?

Evening Pete, naw I won the battle of the cold, unfortunately it was at the cost of not getting any work this weekend.

Stijn!!

The drifts in the back yard are 4 feet deep.

The official snow total is 12 inches in the OKC area.

Tonight will be the coldest night in 15 years.

Got a wood stove Glen?
Nothing heats better than a good old wood stove.

Nope. No wood stove. The fireplace is just natural gas.

I would have to argue that nothing heats better than natural gas central heat. As long as the electricity stays on

Around noon went out in the Rover. Deep snow. Non-eventful cruise around town. Almost nothing was open. Even snow routes only had one lane semi-cleared and those would high center a medium sized dog. News was showing a lot of people in trucks and SUVs getting stuck. Looked like 2 wheel drive to me.

Stopped in a parking lot that a guy in a pickup with snow blade was clearing. It had some 3-4 foot drifts. Asked if he would get me out if I got stuck playing, he said to have fun. Rover just plowed through with no problems. Pretty happy with my $800 snow truck. The heated windscreen even worked well on all the blowing snow.

You'll have to get in the time machine to make that work.
