It is already down to 12 degrees here, and the low is supposed to be below zero. Something like minus 5. That will be the coldest temp in over 15 years.

i wish to go back to discussing suspension setup for a moment.

how risky is it to delete the torsion bars altogether and use straight up coilovers in the rear?

I would leave the torsion bars, and add coils for quicker adjustment....

If the ride height needs to be tuned more than the initial setting, completely deleting the torsion bars greatly simplifies things. Having springs in parallel makes getting exacting spring rates at different ride heights a chore- as you get into strange pre-load effects with having both t-bars and coilovers. Adjusting ride height with the coilover only can, depending on the range, make the effective spring (combined parallel) more/less progressive.

Yup, torsion bars get tossed on a coilover setup on the 911.

Morning guys, Travis, it's been a while, ( and goodnight to the ones turning in.)

That snow may not be very practical but is sure is good for nice pictures. And it kinda makes me long for another ski holiday.

Nynor, I think I've read before that if you delete the rear torsionbars, you should:need to do some reinforcement welding where the shocks are attachted to the car (strut towers?)
Mike will chime in on this, he's like a suspension guru.
