Morning Gents,

Well the interview last monday ended up being 6 hours long. Then when I came out of the interivew I had a bunch of messages that they fired my A$$H0!3 boss that morning. Was a glorious day.

However, I got the job and will get my official offer letter on Tuesday. Looks like over all better job and better financial move anyways.

Lots to think about.

Happy Friday Everyone!

One of the projects the former company I worked at did was for the USAF. They were building simulators in the early 1970s for pilot training. They hired the company to fly the area around Tinker AFB and Vance AFB. They had us make large prints of each frame and mosaic them together into a huge print that the simulator used as the image of the ground. They went in and added models of all the tall structures like the water tower and all the radio and TV towers.

We were in Enid on Wednesday and at my MILs is pretty much strait north of Vance several miles. The T-6 Texan II were out in force. I don't know how many Vance has, but they all had to be flying. At most it was two minutes between hearing the Yearrrrrrrr of the prop driven T-6 fly over. Sometime it was extra loud and two or three of them were flying in formation. Making a big turn into final approach for a touch and go.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beechcraft_T-6_Texan_II

That would be a really fun toy to have the keys to and the fuel bill paid for by Uncle Sam, and get paid to fly it. Must be tough.

We saw one doing touch and goes at the Guthrie-Edmond airport where we used to keep our airplane. We were setting up the camera system on a leased Cessna 172 and watched him land and take back off dozens of times. It moved a LOT faster than out 172.

320 MPH cruise and up to 7G loading and a 31,000 ft ceiling. Yea baby.

https://defense.txtav.com/en/t-6c

Here is one for sale. If ya have to ask how much, yep you can't afford it but something like 4.5 million.

The sky is back to normal, grey. I remember back when I was a boy, the sky was blue most of the time. So far this March Oklahoma City is 21.3 degrees BELOW normal. I am ready for the early spring the dang ground hog said we were gonna get. Was are over 3 degree below normal since November.

It rained here last night but today will probably be clear.

Congrats Andy! It sounds like things are going great for you. That’s the way it should be!

If you could just keep all that moisture down south till the temp comes up here that would be great.

Mrs. Master gardener wife decided to start some plants from seeds. With no sight of spring, that means start the seeds indoors. She has been reading and watching gardening shows of course. If ya cut gallon milk jug 90% around and just leave a inch wide hinge on the back side under the handle that part acts like a hinge. Use the hinge, to bend back the top, fill with dirt, and use toilet paper roll cores as a way to separate and support the individual seedlings, and put under a light source. Of course the sun is great, but if spring will not come, use a light bulb and that works. The top of the milk jug acts as a big diffuser and greenhouse.

She put all of that on the floor under the side of the kitchen on the tile floor. We left for a while and the dogs decided that would make a fun and tasty snack. So big mess when we get back. Not that entire contraption is in the guest bathroom bath tub. Dog proof from dachshunds for sure.

Used to put tomato sets out with milk cartons over them and had to open and close the cartons to keep the sets from freezing. We never started anything from seed, then transplanted it. Just started the stuff from seed in the dirt outside to start with.

Wife has grow lights for starting seeds indoors. Has a timer and everything.

36* and sunny here today. Rain on the weekend though! Guess I will have to wait to get the bike out still.

Mowing lawns saw a LOT of small green houses that were obviously made to plant seeds, produce seedlings and replant them outside the greenhouse. Most looked like they had been used all gung ho at one time, then left to fall apart. Didn't ever see one functionally being used.

First year in college designed a greenhouse designed to plant and rotate a small garden to maintain a growing season year round. The different veggies etc were plant as a small number staggered several times a year so there would alway be just enough fresh veggies year round. Had it designed for light, temps, rain, composting, and even had bees integrated. Never built it and have not seen my plans since we moved to this house.

We had a spit drug test for everyone in the company last week.
It has been 3 years since they tested everyone instead of doing random picks.
Have been very busy handling terminations this week.
Don't know if was the spit test, or the recent Medical Pot laws.
We lost about 20 employees. mostly newer hires.

I replaced the palm tree and one of the three succulent plants run over by the lady in the errant Prius. I still need to find the right succulents to replace the other two. Oh joy.

Whooo Hooo, my AC fan switch is all done. I can drive along and set the fan speed to any speed at all, no more 3 fixed speeds, and I get a neat LED that turns green if the compressor is off, and amber if I am using more gasoline to power the compressor.

It is 71 degrees here today and on my test drive the engine got up to full warm, I could see the compressor cycle off and on. It was Kuehl!

It is a pain in the butt procedure.

Buenos Dias, compadres. It’s cool (mid 50s) and cloudy in SoCal this morning. It’s nice sleeping weather...something I should’ve done more of to protest losing an hour for DST.

Phew, the first autocross of the year is done.

It was 40 degrees and overcast when we statred, and 46 and overcast when we finished. It was 71 and sunny yesterday. Ah well.

It was a complex course and I had several DNFs, but we decided to run 10 runs per car, so I had more clean runs than DNFs. Overall I beat the times of most of the drivers. The top fastest group were in whatever a BRZ is (Subaru) and they were driving like it was a championship for money or something. One of them managed to slide off the track into a curb, and break one wheel, bend an A-arm, and tear up the spoiler and bumper. We won a fun trip on a wrecker and his expense and the scorn of the club. One event like that and he is done for the year with us. We do not want the property torn up. It did not hurt the curb, but it did mess up some grass. He was driving like an idiot, and he will have to live with it. We discourage the "Fast and Furious" driving.

The facility is the Edmond Fire training facility. They have one area with wrecked cars, school buses, tanker trucks and they teach the guys how to use the jaws of life to cut up cars to extract people. They have several burn buildings. They even have one small "city street" with the building that are mostly a facade to look like a town.

Yep, it is Monday once again.

We are right on the edge of a lot of rain. Lots to the south of us, even in the south side of the city. We have had a whopping .04 inch. It is supposed to get to us over the next few days. Hopefully not no lumpy hunks of frozen rocks of rain known as hail.

Mertnin.

Went out to eat with my brother and sister and their spouses Sat night. Woke up early Yesterday with an upset stomach with horrible indigestion. it was at a restaurant I normally go, but I did have something different. Every time I tried to eat or drink anything it came right back up. Tried my indigestion med and it came right back up as well. even rejected Pepto. All this time my sugar and BP has been high and stayed there despite insulin and not eating anything else. My BP came down and I slept last night except for the tosser runs. Still feel a little off this morning, but not nearly as bad as yesterdee.
