He is now studying to be a chef. And brought some okay dinner rolls to Easter lunch. The surprising thing was that he brought a grilfriend. He had always brought boys before. Maybe this chef thing is a good thing.

The Hideaway was a way different pizza place when it was in Stilwater. They had a dining room that was wallpappered with newspaper clippings, they put the toppings on top of the sauce and cheese, ground or chopped small and delivered in VW bugs with their logo all over them. If you went there instead of ordering delivery you could get, let's just say different toppings that weren't exactly on the menu, or legal for that matter.

Hideaway changed when Eskimo Joes got popular for both food and close. Eskimo Joes was just a beer bar but they did have very cold draft beer. They sold cups with there logo on them that were for 25 cent draw nights. That became popular, basically 1/4 price beer on cup nights. They changed when drinking age for beer when to 21 Then they became a burger joint and sold cups and shirts with the eskimo joe's logo. That was about the time the Hard Rock shirts got popular.

Microsoft is turning off password expiration. They say it is better to have one complicated password you keep than always changing it.

The other admin, and network guy are freaking out saying it s going to break a bunch of stuff and we have NEVER implemented password expiration.

Phew, having fun today. We had a 1.5 inch rain on Tuesday, and for some weird reason the ground is wet. I knew it was real wet yesterday so I waited until today to mow the yard. Step one is the edging of the 1/4 mile of sidewalk I have at the house.

My oldest piece of equipment is the old 3.5 HP bladed edger. It was purchased in 1979. It almost always starts on the first pull. Today I turned on the gas at the valve, and noticed a wet spot on the ground, and before I even tried to start it, I saw gasoline dripping at a high rate. The POS 40 year old rubber hose was leaking. So I had to cut off a 1/2 inch of hose, and it still had enough hose to fit back on the carb. I may have to spend a dollar and get a new rubber hose. That old edger was built back in the days of quality American made equipment. It has grease zerks on every wheel, on the shaft that has the blade, and in other vital points. I grease it up every spring, and it just keeps running like it should.

The rest of the equipment behaved as designed.

No I need to go get more gas for the lawn equipment. Almost every time I go someone want to buy my gas can. I remember using it grandpa's house as a little kid. I have little doubt it is older than I am. It holds 5 gallons, and just works great. It is not for sale for any sorta reasonable price.

NIST had that in their guidelines a while ago. Changing your password often makes you more vulnerable. Some people freaked out here when I said we would be moving that way. We require a long phrase and they don't expire.

We have one vendor that requires monthly changes but they don't check the previous password so everyone uses the same one over and over.

In years past, people never used passwords on their computers. Maybe he would like to go back to that? Lotus 123 on a 80286 while you are at it?

I have been using Quicken on my computer since installing it from a 5.25 inch floppy disk in the mid 1980s sometime. I have all my bank transactions since then. In all that time I have used the same password for Quicken. My wife might on occasion use my computer, but mostly she uses my laptop if she needs a real computer. No one uses my computer but me. I know she has no desire to mess with it. Counting the laptop I have a three computer network here. No passwords are used between the computers, and Microsoft makes that hard to do. Microsoft just does not like to have an open password free network, all peer to peer. I guess they can't fathom three computers and one user. My business partner had 7 computers, and two RAID systems on his network, just one user.

I don't really think I am hack proof, since the CIA, FBI, Apple, Microsoft, Department of Defense, and SEC have been hacked. I just figure I am such a small target I am invisible. I do have intrusion prevention, and anti-virus and a firewall, so it would not be a cakewalk to get in.

Back in the 1980s when I was still dating, the oldest line in the book was to ask a chick "want to come over to my place and I can show you my etchings, and drawings"

I presume yours will not be something to hang on the wall, they will be just to make your paycheck have numbers on it.

One of my buddies actually has some old masters etchings. He used that line a lot and sat he got a few women to his house to see them. He did not mention that was a particular turn on for the ladies.

First thought was why do you do drawings of begonias and lilies. Takes me a minute or day sometimes.

You should draw Venus fly traps, and other exotic plants instead. A few orchids would be nice.

I thought most boring plants were in Jeff's country. I think most boring here is done with mobile equipment.

Have drawings, paintings,, photos, and other art I done did by myself. No still life. Never used any em for a pickup line.

We have an art competition at work every year. Don't participate because did a LOT of art for the company in years past. The main reason, we had corporate sports competitions between companies here in OKC. Part of it was competition for the t-shirts the company players wore to the events. My shirt designs won eirst place 3 times. One day I walked by one of our graphic artist office and he had all three of my first place plaques and his one 3rd place plaque on his wall.

My Mom's cousin was senior art professor at Oklahoma University and did art shows for his paintings all over the world. He told me once, as an artist you don't really get to do what you want, You do what sells.

"They" are talking about replacing my computer. VP of IT literally hates Macs and doesn't want anyone in his department using one. I have been usin Apple computers at this company for 38 years. And Macs since 1986.

They are going to have to replace more than my computer. Will also need to replace my 2 27in monitors, keyboard, mouse, software, etc. Be a whole lot more inexpensive to just upgrade my mac, AND my current laptop is worth $1000 tradin.

Stijn!!

I just got one of the stupid scammer calls. They called from my area code, and exchange, and then claim they are the Visa and Master Card fraud department. I hung up then. Yea right, they do both Visa and Master card, and they just happen to have my area code and the same prefix. Sure, I believe that.

I also know that my credit card company send me a text if there a charge they are not sure of. I reply yes or no.

The Baku practice is a total cluster fudge. FP1 only last 15 minutes, and the Williams his a man hole cover and totals the chassis. The truck they load the car car onto with the crane arm on it then proceeds to hit the bridge, and cover the Williams in hydraulic fluid. So they have to get yet another crane to unload the car.

In FP2 a car has to be hauled back to the pits so they use a flatbed, and it has no crane. The only crane is at the other end of the pit lane. So unload it on the dollies, and push it back to the pits.

A bunch of consummate professionals, if your standard is the three stooges.

Today I went to get gas for the lawn equipment, and made it a two fer by filling up the El Camino.

So I pumped in 3 gallons into my 5 gallon can can. That gets heavy enough with three gallons. Then I filled up the Elky. The pump shut off and I looked at the total gallons and it said 20.7 gallons. I was pissed, I only have a 21 gallon tank and no way was I down to fumes. The pump must be ripping me off! Then I slapped my forehead, and remembered the 3 gallons in the gas can. Duh.
All is just as expected.
