Golly Apple is helpful. They were so worried about me that researched and found my home phone number, and called to warn me that my iCloud account has suspicious activity and I need to call them back and give them my password and credit card numbers so they can fix it.

Since I don't use any "cloud" services I guess I will just let the scammers have fun.

Brother Bob not only gave them his AppleID and password, but allowed them to remotely login to his PC? and disable all the antivirus/antispam on it, then upload their own antiviruse (which was actually an app that allowed them access to his PC.

I told him Apple would not call and ask for him to give them his ID and password, AND would not login and make changes to a PC. That was before I gave him an old Mac mini. He had the Appleid because I gave him my old iPhone. The only reason they didn't get anything from his AppleID is the card on the account was already maxed out.

I had a cough from our 10 year old but they made me work from home anyway. I don't mind, I would rather work on the three big 27" curved displays than the two I have at work. Cheapskates.

Been developing a web based employee directory that takes the info from Active Directory and pairs it with the employee badge photos that have a dozen different naming formats and having them all display properly. Searchable of course and all automatic. Got a lot done at home as I did NOT forward my work phone to home. If we lock down I can work from home as long as need be. I remote into the servers anyway. Somehow I had less time to peek on here when working though. Or, it could be the project sucks. up a lot of time.

I heard that in Italy is is much like China was, full lock down with arrest for folks being out and about without the proper permits or trips. One thing they will allow is for people walking their dogs. Some people are already getting cabin fever, so they go and borrow the neighbors dog. So some dogs are getting lots of walks.

I just made a bread run to the store around the corner. They bake their own bread and the supply was good. The place was packed with people buying ice cream and milk (store specialty) but I just got a loaf of bread since my supply was down to two pieces at home.

It is just amazing how cheap gasoline is. $1.59 per gallon for gasohol, and $1.70 for pure gas. I never ever buy the gasohol unless I am renting a car and filling it up to go back.

$2.95 for regular at Costco and $3.39 for diesel at Shell. Both prices are down a bit, even though you Okies probably don’t believe me.

Stopped on the way home from physical therapy to pick up a gyro. There was nobody in the entire place except the owner and his wife. Called in the order so it would be ready when I got there. Nobody came in while I was picking up my sammuch.

Guess 4:30 was a little late for a lunch crowd, and early for a dinner crowd.

I guess we were really living life on the edge over the weekend.

We went to Friday night dinner at a restaurant as usual. Then Saturday morning we met the local PCA region folks for breakfast at a restaurant. Then Saturday evening we went at a restaurant for our 28th anniversary dinner. Then Sunday morning at a restaurant for breakfast and then grocery shopping. It was a our monthly trip to the grocery store. Sunday even we ate leftovers from the Saturday even meal.

Now it may be a while before we can go out at a restaurant again.

I am making my new computer work its CPU off. I have one mapping program running that generates the mosaic images churning, another mapping program that allows me to open the 18 Gig tiff file and poke around, make sure the ground points are in the right place, and crop and output the little pieces I have to crop out so that Photoshop will not cry about the file size being too big. And I have Photoshop running to edit the files, and doing some dodging and burning to compensate for some of the cloud shadows. The client calls us and pretty much said fly it now or forget it. So we flew it on an "not ideal" day. with cloud shadows random areas are darker.

So far it has not been above 130 Gig of RAM used, and the CPU is at 30% to 40% utilization. And I still have time to goof off and play online at the same time. So less than 50% CPU, about 50% of ram at the most, and only one of the two video cards is doing much more than 20%.

Soon I have to open the edit pieces back into the second mapping program, and output one mosaic all pretty and edited for the client. Sometime I open two copies of one of the programs. Go little CPU go.

We went to Sam's club to open a membership. We had been members a while ago but let it lapse. They have good meats and produce so we were going to give it shot again. Nope.

Can we open a new account? No, you can't since you had an account and you have to reopen your old account. None of that info matches your old account, can you try something else?

Bye. What idiots.

Haven't been sleeping well. Doc took me off Plavix (blood thinner) a week ago. Been having balance, memory, thinking issues (stroke symptoms). Put me back on plavix. Balance is a little better, but not sleeping well. Balance was affected by stroke, but got better. Then much worse again after wreck. Was getting a little better then plavix perscription stopped. Guess I need to start drinking beer to help thin my blood.

Dropped some letters getting mail yesterday. Bent to pick up letters, standing back up lost balance but did not fall, instead ended up stumbling all the way across the street trying to catch myself.

Tomorrow is my last day of physical therapy with a therapist. Will have him give me a bunch of exercises.

Yea, they membership folks at Sam's are not great. When I went to renew our company membership they told me the old membership was a plus account, but they don't have that anymore. So I wanted a business membership so I can go early before normal store hours for regular memberships.

The manager herself could not make that work and we ended up having to cancel the old membership and do a new one, and that did not work, so she did an override, and then used a sharpie to initial her approval on the card. They had to mail me a full card later.

We like it not because we can go in, pick out our stuff, scan it with my phone, and pay with my credit card via the phone. No human contact needed. And that was before the Covid-19 BS social distancing.

I have to feel sorry for the folks starting out in life that have few resources. I vividly remember living paycheck to paycheck, and wondering how to to make the water bill payment. I had the option of getting a second job on Saturday's and shooting weddings. Now many weddings will be done with very small family only groups. Most of the real money in wedding photography is shooting all the cousins with grandmas and aunt and uncles. Everyone is dress up, and those photos get sold to all the aunts and uncles.

I can't imagine being a waitress or waiter or bartender and suddenly all the restaurants and bars are closed.

Remember going from bi-weekly to monthly paychecks. What was one day of anxiously awaiting my paycheck quickly became a entire week of having no monies!

At my first job I was paid monthly. Mostly because the boss-owner was too lazy to do it more often.

When I moved to OKC paychecks were weekly. I so remember my first week in my super dumpy apartment. I have spent basically all my savings in the costs of moving to OKC. It was Monday morning and I was getting ready to go to work and I had about 12 bucks in my my checking account, and no savings left at all. I worked just two miles from that apartment, so a tank of gas lasted a month or more.

If grandma was not happy to see me I would have starved to death. After the first paycheck I bought some simple high carb foods. Lots of potatoes, rice and macaroni and cheese. I did splurge and buy one six pack of beer to last the week.

My paycheck was 12K per year but with taxes, rent payments and utilities it was not much left over to save. I had my American Express card, and I knew it had to be paid off at the end of the month. That is why I had it and not a Visa. Later I decided it was stupid to pay them for the honor of having a card. So I went to a free Visa and tried really hard to pay it off each month.

They couldn't sort it even with the manager. Said we had to call the help line.

We do the local pickup anyway so we just fill out the order online and they tell us when to pick it up. Takes about 5 minutes from when you park in the pickup slot to when you leave. All paid, ready to go. I wish Aldi's had that for produce.

Most of what we get at Sam's is fruit. I like to pick and choose what I get, and not just the one in front. I have seen some rotten apples in a bag of apples, or grapes that are bad on the bottom. Same with bananas or any fruit. If we were getting packaged items it would be different.

I am going to start carrying a pen with a stylus on the tip for the credit card machines. Most all of them need a button pushed for credit of debit, or the OK button. Pretty much impossible to push those buttons with an elbow.

I wish more placed did Apple pay. Totally touchless for point of sale transactions. The places that use an iPad that swivels so the employee and every customer touches it will be for sure, use a stylus. The wipe it down with some cleaner.

We get most of our produce at Aldi's and they don't have pickup anyway so I have to pick and choose.

Most places around here have the tap to pay where the card just has to be in proximity of the screen for a second or two. No touching other than your own card.

it is amazing how many items are "Out f stock" on the instacart listing I use to order groceries.
Between the grocery store and a pharmacy that delivers, have been able to get everything i need.

Didn't hoard TP. But have 20 of those huge diameter mega rolls. Didn't specifically order mega rolls, that is what the shopper brought me over the last couple of months bringing me the wrong thing. Just ordered normal rolls on my next order. Ordered a mega roll adapter from home depot when TP went out of stock. They claim each mega roll is 4 regular rolls, think I've been using double rolls so have equivalent of 40 rolls I'm stocked up on.

Hope the empty shelves does not last too long.

Going to my physical therapy at 11am today there was almost no traffic.
There was a little to get back home at noon. Passed Mcdonalds, Starbucks, Sonic, and they all had lines on their drive-thrus.
