Some of the regulars on this thread are retired. Every day is Saturday for them. Today the folks with jobs get to have Saturday as well.

'pi55ing off ' is different to 'getting pi55ed', and 'pi55ing off/pi55ed' has different meanings depending upon the context.

E.g.
I'm pi55ing off out a here -> I'm gone, see ya.
I'm pi55ing off the missus -> I'm making her angry.
The missus is pi55ed at me -> yep, she's really angry at me now.
The missus and I are getting pi55ed -> we're on a bender, probably not gunna get my leg over if she goes too hard.

Living life on the edge!

We went to a real restaurant and ate in the restaurant for the first time since the Kung Flu hit. It is a local owned place, with one of the best breakfasts anywhere. We were the only people in the place. We certainly had good service with no one else around. I hope they can survive the China flu problems. They just opened a few months ago.

Just webbed in my instacart grocery order. The web said they have my brand of toilet paper! Won't know for sure until it gets shopped.

The only thing they didn't have was sauceless pulled pork. The BBQ stuff just has way too much sauce. Would rather have a pound of pulled pork from a BBQ joint even though it is more than twice the price. At least it's not too sweet BBQ sauce with a little pulled pork mixed in.

Back to Monday I think. I really thought it was Monday yesterday so I get two Mondays. Not this it matters much to me. The mail does not come on Sunday, so I don't have to go to the mail box on Sundays. I still like going to the mail box because most of our clients pay with a check that they mail. I received on on Saturday and I get to deposit it today!

Now that things are almost all greened up we have a few projects to fly. It makes a photos look so much better to have green grass and not brown dormant grass.

Super nice weather this morning. The Master Gardener headed out to plant more plants, and get rid of some weeds. Shortly after she she went out I heard tapping on the window or the window area right next to my chair. I peeked out the blinds expecting to see her and no one was there. The tapping continued. So I opened the levolor blinds and a wood pecker flew off. Our house is a brick facade house, and not much wood to on the house at all. Just the soffits and some trim areas. The windows are vinyl clad aluminum. I saw a wood pecker hammering on the utility pole out front the other day so he is pretty ignorant, or young and still learning, which is the same thing I guess.

We had a really nice day Saturday. Sunday it rained. Today aint looking much better.

Woodpeckers will peck on something that makes a loud noise as part of their mating ritual.

We have a pair of Bluebirds nesting in the house we put up to attract them. The male is really bright blue.

Hear birds but don't usually see them. Sister took bird bath this winter. Pepper keeps them barked away from the back yard. Pepper also chases the opossum, squirrels and rabbits. Never see the great horned owl that roosts in the top of the cottonwood tree, do hear the hooting 9pm to 11pm in the fall.

We have tons of birds with the koi pond in back as a water source, the fountain in the front garden and a birdbath under the pear tree. Lots of insects to eat. When the master gardener is digging this time of year she finds many June bug grubs. She just tosses them on the driveway and the bluebirds snag them in short order. Of course the grubs in the back yard are intercepted by the dogs if given a chance.

The tadpoles in the koi pond are getting big. Their number drop from the fish eating them. We don't need 500 toads, so it is good the fish reduce the population.

We have a wide variety of birds. Lots of Robins of course, but one in particular has been named Angry Robin. He will come to the bird feeder and karate kick the sparrows there. He doesn't eat the seed there, just has to kick the birds. That is fine with me, the sparrows are invasive and they could all go away as far as I am concerned.

Robins are usually pretty friendly and laid back.

We have lots of Robins as well. And Cardinals. Mocking birds are very common, and the state bird is the scissortail fly catcher. There are two types of sparrows that are very similar.

The Harris's Sparrow has remarkable connections to Oklahoma. This species was one of the last of North American birds to have its eggs discovered, and the honor went to Dr. George M. Sutton who found a nest containing them in the Churchill, Manitoba, area of Canada, during the summer of 1931

We had a really cool road runner around her for a while. It can't really fly, but dang can it hop up. It cleared our 8 foot fence with ease.

We had Road Runners in CA. They could run and fly just fine.

We have mostly English Sparrows and those are invasive. We had one cardinal that would sing to my wife when she had her Wisconsin sweatshirt on. He was either a Badger fan or liked the bright red. Probably a Badger fan.

Today is lawn mowing day. Yea Haw.

The blue sky weather ends today and a week or days with high possibility of rain return. Of course the rains and clouds only come up because we have a couple of projects to fly in the pretty green spring time. I am pretty sure we can control the weather with out job bookings.

Had sparrows build a nest in some hangin sea shells just outside our kitchen window. A cow bird laid an egg in their nest. The cowbird chick was bigger than the sparrow chicks and it kicked them out of the nest. The sparrows feed the cowbird until it left the nest and few off. Never had any bird build nest or use the old one after that.
