The fence is brand new, and right now the limb is sorta resting on it, but not damaged that I can see. Mostly the limbs broke off and dropped on top of the little tree.

This is the view out my office window.

We are up to 34 and rain, so hopefully the ice will start to melt. The bad news is the wind is supposed to pick up this afternoon.

High of 50 here today. Upper 50s by the weekend. Good thing, I have to put this back in and the car is not in a heated garage.

We are supposed to get to 52 tomorrow, and the 60s and sunny for the weekend. I suspect I will be doing a lot of tree cleanup.

That is the 18 gallon aluminum tank for the Cobra. It is upside down on the horses. I cleaned it up and clear coated it so I don't have to clean it up ever again.

My wife insisted we go look to see if there are any chainsaws available in the stores. I figured it was a lost cause, but it was a "yes dear" situation. We did find one at Ace hardware but it was still there because it was $1,198.99. We left it there.

I have an little electric chain saw I bought sometime in the early 1980s. For some reason the chain is pretty dull after all those uses. The chain oiler button is broken, and it is time to replace it. It still works, but is slow to cut with the worn out and dull chain.

I just ordered on from Amazon since there are none local. It is a Oregon brand, and supposedly made in USA.

I would think all the big box stores would have a few truckloads of generators and chain saws and gas cans on the way from the warehouses in other states. It is not a country wide shortage, just this part of the country. I guess it would take planning and thinking ahead by the managers to have a truck load of the stuff they are going to sell like mad in a ice storm. That is why Amazon is going to kill the brick and mortar stores.

Oregon makes good chains so it should cut well.

Holy cow. Richard, you may not want to look, but a friend just told me about a '93 928 GTS with just 19K miles that sold for $115K on BaT.

94 with 78K sold for $85K. Hagerty listed a 94 with 78K miles fo 89,9. Think buyer is going to pay the differece for some stock parts I up graded, but it is not a low miles concourse car. That 93 should have gotten 15K more.

Electriity went off at 4pm yesterday. Helper fould s 6500 watt generator. Started hooking it up at 3pm. Finally got heater, fridge, and TV, surround, wireless hooked up at 4pm and electricity came back on.

Back yard is full big cottonwood limbs, sweet gum tree in front yard molted limbs like s bartlet pear tree.

Helpers home in south OKC is still out out of power. Her, her husband and dog stayed in my guest room last night.
They cleaned up their yard yesterdat.
She says she is going to cut up the limbs in my yard and put them on he curb. I'm not recovered enought from my stroke to operate my chain saw let alone drag limbs agound.

Just glad we dont see any limbs stiking out of the roof!

All your neighbors appreciate you buying a generator. That got the power back on within an hour.

Be sure to have the helper put some Stabil in the gas tank, and have a tank of gasoline around with Stabil in it. Gasoline will go bad in a year and the generator will never start without a lot of work. It is one reason I have never bought generator.

The power outage that got you was wide spread. The lights at Memorial and Eastern were out, all the way to my business partner's house that is near Coletrain two miles east. We were lucky we are far enough south to be off of that circuit.

The crews are in from Texas, and many surrounding states restoring power. Over 300K people were in the dark and it is now getting restored.

We are supposed to be 60s and sunny this weekend and back to the 70s next week. Damn Canadians and their air. They never share it in August when we would like it, but send in in the winter when we don't want it at all.

My theory of on-line purchases shipping is proving spot on accurate once again. I ordered the battery powered trimmers for my wife last week and they were supposed to be here Tuesday. Still no sign of them, and Amazon tracking says if they don't show up today I can get a refund.

I ordered the chain saw and it said Saturday delivery which is two days slower than normal. Now it says well maybe Monday or even Tuesday the 2nd. Stuff I really want and need get delayed, the stuff that could take a month and I not care get her overnight.

I also ordered a bottle of "chain oil" for the chain saw. I bet it arrives on time, but the saw will be very late or never. I ordered a spark plug and air filter for my lawn mower that I plan to put on right after I mow for the last time in 2020. I like to change the oil and filters and service everything at the end of the year, and have it ready yo go in the spring. I ordered that on a Saturday and did not care if it came in 30 days, I just wanted it in stock in my garage. It arrived the next day on Sunday morning about 7:45 AM.

The power outage took down cox internet as well. They siad it was a commercial outage. Internet came back on with the rest of thr electricity.

Thinking about selling the generator. Power has never been out more than an hour or two before.
