Thank you for showing Plymouth Rock. Never on my bucket list but if I'd stumbled on that as a national monument I would have been pissed. I certainly reinforces the phrase they landed AT Plymouth Rock, not on it.
I'd like to see a cartoon.

If you're ever in Cambridge/Boston, for the love of god, don't touch the John Harvard statue; pissing on it is a right of passage for the freshmen.

We went to Plymouth Rock as it was on a loist of place to see on our Parade trip to Vermont. We deliberately hit all the New England states, while driving my 911. Plymouth rocak was not much to see, but the replica Mayflower was in port. We just walked over and there was no line to take a tour. It was cool to see an accurate reproduction of the Mayflower. I can't fathom going across the Atlantic with livestock, and lots of people all crammed into that little ship. I am glad they came, but I am really happy I did not have to make that voyage.
The next week after out tour they were going to sail the ship to some repair dry dock for a refurbish. We got lucky in that we say it before it went to dry dock.

Phew. The yard is edged, string trimmed and mowed.
The Oklahoma state song is from the play, Oklahoma! by Rogers and Hammerstein. One of the famous lines is "where the wind comes sweeping down the plains". There was no wind at all while I was outside. My wife has a little decorative windmill in the Koi pond area that was dead still. The heat index was 109. The idiot yard boy cutting the front yard missed a large area, so I had to open the storage building, and fire up the mower to finish it. I would fire that idiot mower guy, but he works for free so I can't cut his salary. I decided to bribe him to do a better job by treating him to a Erdinger Dunkle beer. That is one of my favorite beers. He works on my cars as well, for just beer as payment.

![]() The other photo was before I had to replace my alternator. "While I was in there" with the fan and housing out, I had them ceracoated in an titanium color. That raw magnesium just looks bad with the layer of corrosion on top.

Today is oil is the 2017,000 mile oil change for the 911.
I need to adjust the clutch again. I am not sure if the cable is stretching, or is some adjustment nut is loose. The clutch is just 57,000 miles old. Replacing the cable is no a big deal, except for stuffing my face down in the pedal box area. There is no graceful way to get to the pedal cluster clevis pin at my age. I did it several times on my 914, but I was much younger then.

got a scissorlift?
You can lift the car to work on the pedal box area and that kinda makes it easier

![]() Yep, I have it on the lift right now. Oil change is done. Not exactly a 10 minute oil change. It took me a bit over three hours. I did change that S hose as well. Clean up and getting the oil into a container to take to the hazardous waste disposal site, and adding all the oil takes a while for the worlds slowest mechanic. It is on the mechanical stops now, and tomorrow I will do the clutch cable adjustment. It is 100 degrees and heat index of 103. My garage AC kept it in the upper 70s with much lower humidity. I had almost no sweat. It sure beats coming in soaking wet for sweat.
