8 below is the coldest so far. No big snow storms either just a lot of little storms that have been piling up as we haven't had a thaw to settle them.

Been keeping the Rona at bay so far.
Well they haven't had to run the V plow down our road yet this year. I figured with the 8" of snow and 50mph winds the snow would get there just form the winds alone. It may get too close to Rick and get beat into submission though.

Another 16 degree day. This is just nuts. And the prediction is for a actual blizzard of 35+ MPH winds heavy snow accumulation and visibility of less than a 1/4 mile. I only remember two of those in OKC in the 42 years I have lived here.

We are not going to get above freezing until the Saturday the 20th. I bet we break all the records for a bad winter storm, after storm after multiple storms. Damn Canadians!

Brent, your weather is down here in my yard drunk. Please come take it back up north where it belongs and give it back to the Canadian neighbors of yours.

Over two weeks of below freezing weather and ice and snow. I am past ready for spring.

Nope, that all belongs out east. We have our snowfall for the year. Actually, about a month ago we exceeded the normal snowfall. A couple years after we moved here we had 50" over normal. That was not fun, though I did have an excuse to stay home a couple days since one of the storms the snow in the road was taller than the mailbox. I don't mind a few inches at a time with no wind.

Morning all. Round one brought enough white fluffy crap to watch and turn the lawn white. Roads are bare but its below freezing out so that might not truly be the case. More on the way if the weather heads are correct.

Well we are gonna get Pete's snow on Sunday. 12 to 16 inches is the forecast. Snow accumulation is almost impossible to forecast accurately. It could be just a few or insane amounts. Actually more than one inch is insane amounts in my book.

Back in 2009 we had a blizzard on Christmas Eve. We had drifts in the yard 3 feet deep. The street was three feet deep and just blocked until my neighbor hired a guy to plow the street and I added in for him to clear our transition from the driveway to the street area.

The the weather normally warms up and we see the sun and the snow goes away. Not this time, we are not supposed to see above freezing or any sun for a week. We often have years with no snow at all, and this month is making up for all of that.

13 degrees out right now, wind chill of 5.

Currently 2* here and 3" of snow last night and up to 3" again tonight. At least we have light winds. Last week I thought we had moved to McMurdo.

I am sorry to have to say that Richard died last night.

I heard from his brother and evidently Richard died in the middle of the night. They are going to have an autopsy done to determine the exact cause.

Richard and I had been friends for about 20 years. For most of the last 9 or 10 years we ate lunch together once per week. He lived just a mile from me and it was always convenient to have each other living close. If he was dropping off his car to be worked on, I could pick him up and he bought lunch for me. On the occasions I had work done on my cars he would pick me up and I bought lunch for him. We never kept score on who owed lunch to whom. Just stuff buddies do for each other.

I will miss his weird sense of humor and his knowledge of email and networking and his company.

When I see the obituary in the local paper I will post a link for you and start a post on the board to announce his death to the rest of the folks that knew him.

Well that sucks.

He certainly was an interesting guy and I am glad we got to eat with him the couple times we were in town.

Richard always did things his own way and never tried to conform to what is average or what other people considered to be normal. He was not someone people forgot. He often looked like a homeless bum with a beard that was almost to his navel. He was his own man.

Richard was an interesting guy but he was always nice to our family on our visits. He even offered to let Emily learn how to drive a manual in his 928 if he had it back by the time we visited.

Guess she will have to learn on the Cobra. Speaking of, any reason to not put a lightweight flywheel in while it is apart to put the SFI bellhousing in? The OEM is steel 30# and the "to SFI spec" Firenza is 13#. It is getting a McLeod StreetPro clutch so it will al be apart that far.

Thanks for all the condolences. If they have a memorial or funeral I will attend and pass along the condolences to his family.

Brent, as far as a lightened flywheel, personally I would not do it. Unless you are building a drag racing car it just makes it harder to drive. It is nice to have a heaver flywheel and be able to put it in gear and let the clutch out and start rolling with almost no effort. With all the HP and torque you have it will not help that much unless you are doing drag racing.

Just my opinion.
