I am still cleaning out my closet. I let it go way too long. I am chunking old crap, and finding some treasures. Back in 2000 my wife and I made a two week trip to Sacramento, CA for Parade. We spent a week getting there, to see lots of national parks. As we left the Sacramento area were got out into the boonies, and stopped for gas at a stop that was like the last stop before the desert on the way to Las Vegas. I took a picture of the totally insane prices for gas. Premium cost me $2.49 per gallon! Just insane high prices.

The insane thing is right now 20 years later I pay less than that for 100% gasoline, no corn premium just three blocks from my house.

I can remember gas prices much higher than it currently is. For the sake of my business and most other business in Oklahoma I hope it starts going back up soon.

Looks like I will be a couple hours with the snow blower in the morning. Don't mind, it just gets tedious. 8-10 inches of unmentionable coming by morning.

We have a bathroom in the basement that encroaches under the stair case. That is our bad weather spot.

Our detached garage has the Turd (Rogue) the Avenger (Steve since it is bright blue) and a 16' canoe, table saw, radial arm saw, two 10' kayaks, upright Snap On tool box and work table and a navy locker, XT600 and shelves etc. It is too small.24x36 or 30x40 would be better. Then the truck wouldn't have to sit out.

Golly gee willikers cleaning out the closet is fun. Still finding some treasures. The original 5.25 inch Windows 3.0 for DOS discs.

After several trips to the trash bin I am 1/2 way done. I keep stopping to sort through a box of treasures. Lots of family photos and other family paperwork. I may set my hair on fire as an encore to keep the level of fun constant.

We had a fantastic streak of weather, and it came to a screeching halt. We received 1.6 inches of rain overnight. Possible snow flurries today and Snow for tomorrow and possible ice in Friday. The weekend is back to clear and next week highs in the mid 50s.

The rain is always welcome, and we are above the normal rainfall for the year so that is good. The last snow was no big deal. Hopefully this one is the same.

The last update I got was he is off the ventilator, and chatting with the nurses and bragging about his dog Pepper. As far as I know he is still in the rehab hospital and off limits to visitors. I can't imagine why his brother has not provided him with a new cell phone.

At least he is on the rebound. He would have to be pretty bad of to not be chatting.

I am pretty much done cleaning out the crap in the closet. Now I am going through the "stuff" like lots of old CDs and DVDs with photos and gizmos that are out of date like my 2005 HUGE GPS that can't be updated, and is slow and it was a power hog. I am going to take it apart it and get to the little hard drive and see how big it is, and if it is worth keeping.

I found one treasure, a booklet we put together for the regions 30th anniversary 24 years ago. It had a cool article about the early days of the region.






I knew Al as a friend. He is missed.

It is a winter wonderland here.

It started raining last night over 1/2 inch of rain but soon it turned into freezing rain and 1/4 to 3/8 inch of ice on everything, then it changed to snow, and it is pretty much done snowing. We have 5 or 6 inches I guess. I will "get" to shovel snow today, but heck that is better than cleaning out a closet!

We had around 5 to 6 inches of very wet snow on top of the ice. It is 32 degrees already, and hoping for the 36 degrees promised.





No driving the 911 for a few days.

Of course one of the projects we quoted months ago is now all of a sudden a GO, total overcast, and 6 inches of snow. Maybe by Tuesday we can fly it. Hopefully the GCP targets will survive the snow.

Went for a New Year's run this morning. Saw snow on the side of the road at higher elevations, but not particularly slippery, except at the top. Another beautiful SoCal day. Mrs. Noah wants to take a drive out to the beach now.

Saw my first new C8 Corvette tonight. It certainly looks zooty, with the mid-engine styling. Exotic. But somehow it's not as sexy as how the Italians do it. It doesn't have that flowing sensual look. Too chunky, the rear 3/4. (Then again, it **is** American, so whaddya expect?)

Morning all. Let the melting begin. The roads were in good shape from what I hear, we have not left the house since Thursday. It is 34 degree and melting is slow at that temp, but ongoing. With luck the sky will clear by 1:00 and the melting can get on with it. We are supposed to have mid temps of 50s all week.

I did venture off the property yesterday. The world is still out there.

Hopefully by tomorrow or so the snow will be gone from the north sides of buildings and fences.

The big melt is ongoing. I am sure ready to get our new project flown as soon as the snow is gone.

Morning all. I took a week off from the world and work. Stayed off the computer so they (work) couldn't find me and ask for some thing. Christmas as fine but with two family members short due to no travel from AK to WA. New years the neighbors decided to blow things up.

New Years eve evening was hard rain and turning to freezing rain and snow for us. We were in bed asleep and warm so it made no real difference, except that for some reason no one was out making noise at midnight.

We usually have some neighbors that felt it was their duty to wake everyone up at midnight with fireworks or some loud noises. It was very quiet this year.

well so far work has been slow. I like this.

We had freezing fog from Saturday evening through this morning. Makes the trees look interesting but that is about it. No more snow though.
