Yea, I have had several doctors retire on me. Now the insurance agent. My regular dentist is my age, and I was one of his first clients back in 1978.

It sucks to go see a doctor that looks like Doogie Howzer and has his mom drive him to work.

David, I hope she gets better fast.

I went to the garage and played with the 911 a little. I replaced the drivers side window switch. One of the easiest repair on a 911. The hard part is prying the old switch out of the door panel. I have nylon trim pry bar that made pretty short work of that and leaves no marks. Swap one wire at a time, push new switch into place and done.

The old switch must be full of corrosion. The window goes up and down faster, and no more wiggling it to get it to work at all.

My audio driver was acting strange. The audio like most all motherboards is built into the motherboard. It uses a Realtek Audio Console driver. So I dug around and found the Realtek web site and downloaded the driver right from them. It came down at 19.6K and the 228 MB file took 3.2 hours to download. I guess they still run an old modem for the file download server. Insane slow in this day and age. It should de a sub one minute download.

Ah well, my sound is back.

I may change over to one of the video cards. I am prettey sure the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti had audio as does the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070. I may have to check into it.

We have HBO on out cable package and that allows us a free account to HBO Max. I watched Man of Steel on my computer, and the audio is really suppressed and I had to crank up the volume, and then the explosions and music are deafening. I need to find a better solution to audio.

The sound is perfect for Pandora or other audio sources.

It has been a bit rainy.

Friday night into Saturday morning we work up to 1/38 inches of rain. Last night we received 6.75 inches more. So 10.10 inches of rain in two days. And rain is predicted most of the coming week. It is 68 degrees again this morning. It does heat up to low 80s by afternoon to help build the thunderstorms. I am sure all the lakes are close flood stage by now and releasing lots of water downstream.

We have more rain forecast for this evening. The good news for us is we are at the top of a hill so we will never flood. The local streams and low lying areas are having some issues of course.

It is just 72 degrees at 2:10 PM. No complaints about that.

What a shocker, the forecast was off, and no overnight rain. No one is complaining.

More rain is coming this afternoon. It was nice to walk around yesterday afternoon outside and 72 degrees and clear skies.

I believe we have not yet broken into the 90s. 89 degrees and high humidity is miserable enough. With all the rain we are really humid now. We will not get out of the 70s today.

Once it gets this hot, we just stop looking at the weather. I try to minimize time outside during the middle of the day, or dip in the pool if I am outside.

I hope that nice weather in OK holds out for a few weeks, we are going to be there in mid July for a week!

Things will be green for your visit. The trees, and grass are GREEN right now, and with a week of rain to come will remain that way. Our chance of a wildfire is about zero right now.

My parents got like 4.5” of rain this weekend. I think that’s more than most of AZ has had all year!

I may have to put the boys on a mower while we are there if it’s rained that much! 🤣

Yeah!

I have had Crutchfield as one of my bookmarks waiting for the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB head unit to be in stock. I check every so often and it was always out of stock. I checked today and it is ordered and on the way. I could find it on EBay and other European sites, but it was over 600 bucks.

Hopefully it will arrive in time for me to get it put in for our trip to Parade.
