I need to set up a throw away email on gmail or some free email.

I have my main "work" email I use for everything legit. I have three different ones from my cable company that I have had since the early days of dial-up 35 years or so. I still have some email sent there, from long term contacts.

I still have some friends using AOL email. I played with AOL a few times back in the stone ages when they mailed out CDs and one month free. Heck I used Compuserve in the olden days of 300 baud manual dial modems.

I bought a pair of Levis on Compuserve with a C-64 and 300 baud dial-up. Compuserve charged for connect time by the minute. I got my first month bill and almost choked. I could read the text as it came down. There was no way to scroll back up, so if you wanted a refresh of the screen text it was an expensive thing. I canceled it after one month.

I have work and a hotmail account for my main emails. When I got the smart phone I had to set up a new gmail on the spot. Its never used so it was a dead give away when the email showed up. I didn't even try and enter any of my usual passwords I just told it I forgot it. Sure enough the site sent me a password reset to the email. Kind of strange but hey the guy who ordered a taxi is going to be upset.

So far no additional sleet. But they promise more. Hopefully they are wrong.

I am really glad I don't have to get out in it. Yesterday with the salt, and beet juice application, the main roads were just wet. They all froze into a nice slick glaze of ice overnight. Gonna be some bumper cars out there this morning. I will watch it on TV.

Morning by the way.

We like to go to breakfast at a nearby restaurant just a little over a mile from here. It was in the low 20s on Sunday, but clear roads. I suggest to the wife we take her car. The El Camino would have no hint of warm air after that short of a drive. I don't want to drive the 911 in that temps for a short drive due to moisture from condensation.

So the Macan's heater is astonishing. On the trip home, after sitting in the COLD while we ate, we had warm air within a few hundred feet. I don't know how it does that. Magic I guess. And I never bothered with the seat heaters.

Our two newest cars have heat very quickly. The minivan automatically turns the bun warmers and heated steering wheel on when it starts when it is cold and turns the seat vents on when it is warm.

I have to manually press buttons to make a warm butt and hands. Probably the designers way of letting you think you control the car.

The sun popped out for just a while. It was enough to melt off the street sleet cover. More sleet is possible tonight. Oh joy.

Back up above freezing this morning. Not a bad start to the day.

The weather man is just guessing today. The sleet may or maybe not get to to the metro area.

Right now I am happy to say it is way south. Dallas has been getting hammered. Not my problem!

Maybe Texas can keep the crappy weather to themselves for a change.

Yep. They can keep that crap to themselves. No need to share.

We are supposed to be in the 60s over the weekend. Lots better!

Welp, I am now registered for Parade.

I was curious what the room rates are just for a regular visit for John Q. Public in the summer. $440 per day was the cheapest. We get to pay only $164 per night. Ouch!

Ah well it is just money.
