Re: cut: Is the cut on the palm side of the finger or the backside? Is it closer to the side of the ring finger adjacent to the middle finger or to the pinky? And is it along the proximal phalanx (1/3 of finger attached to the palm), middle phalanx, or distal phalanx (part of the finger with the fingernail)?

Re: numbness: Is the whole finger numb? Both the side along the middle finger as well as the side along the pinky? Or is it just numb on half the finger (longitudinal half facing the middle finger or longitudinal half facing the pinky)? Does the numbness exist just distal to (from the cut out to the fingertip) the cut? Is there any numbness proximal to (between the cut and the palm) the cut, too?

Stijn!!

He injected the anesthesia stuff in the bottom on my finger on the palm side. That finger went all numb for the stitches. 24 hours later it was still numb. He put in 3 stitches just 1/2 inch from the the fingernail of my ring finger. No ring on my right hand.

Today the finger is getting some feeling in the pad on my finger. The sides of my finger are still a bit numb.

This afternoon it is pretty much back to normal feeling.

This morning the finger is 99.9 % back to normal except the wound is still healing. The pad of that finger where finger prints are is very slightly not back to 100%. It has a very slight numbness if I press down or grab something.

He also ha me on Cephalexin 500 MG 4 times a day. When I get up, at noon, early evening, and at bed time. The swelling in the wound area is much reduced. Who know was bad pookie is in the Koii pond water. I don't want it in my finger. The astonishing thing to me is our dogs drink that water as do lots of birds and occasional squirrels. No doubt I would be very sick if I drank that water. I will not test that theory.

Morning all. Nice warm weekend here. No chores that required a trip to the ER.

We had a fun tour to a place of history for our region. Our region is named the War Bonnet region.

At a meeting a while back a new member asked how our region got it's name. Everyone made some wrong guesses. They all looked at me, and I said it was the name of a race track that closed in the 1970s. The War Bonnet race track.

We drove up there on Saturday. Drove the old track at 25 MPH that is now a residential area. Then we ate lunch at a local Mexican restaurant.

All y'all sound like you are having too much fun. Mostly work here and then work on the Avion. We did manage a fishing trip. Weather has been lows in the 50s and highs around 80. Perfect bike weather and love the 56mpg compared to 26 on the commute in the car. Or 20 in the Cobra.

We have some meeting or event 4 to 5 times per month. For a small region, we stay busy.

Morning all. It's hard hat season in the front yard. The tree is dropping horse chestnuts. I almost got a 5 gallon bucket full yesterday. With the mild wind we had they are dropping on your head as you pick up the ones off the ground.

So just crap top pick up and throw away. Do the squirrels or deer eat them? One of our neighbors have a large oak tree that drops a lot of acorns. I guess the squirrels can't eat them all. We have never seen a deer in this area. Just a mile south the deer are thick.

Horse chestnuts are poisonous. The squirrels will start to eat one and then stop when they get inside the shell. The bigger problem is they haul them off to hide and they sprout in the spring. Last year I found one under our front bay window.

Acorns are not edible by humans, but squirrels and deer eat them.

We had a nice Bald Cyprus at our last house. We drove past it recently and the tree I planted is huge. They drop their needles in the fall, and the spiny little balls all over the place. It is really pretty in the summer.

The builder of our house planted 4 Bradford Pear trees. They all got large, and they grow fast. BUT, the flowers in the spring look nice but they flat out stink, and then the little tiny pears the size of a pea are bird food, but messy as heck on thee ground as the rot and ferment. All of them had ice storm damage and all of them are now gone. Replaced with better trees.

We need some rain. The east coast has way too much, and that hurricane moved our weather to clear skies and no clouds. Can't have rain without clouds.

Phew, I have been working for the big wonderful handsome and smart and modest boss doing two different aerial jobs.

Both customers want the prints delivered on Monday. I will need to borrow the boss's wife's Macan to get them.

I figure I deserve a couple of thee boss's beers after all the hard work My mouse finger got a real workout.

Yesterday Mrs. Carrera informed me that the love seat has beeen sold to friend a little over a mile away, and I was honored with the task of hauling it over there in the El Camino.

She had sold the main couch a couple of weeks ago to a different friend. Last night I had to sit in the one remaining chair to watch a movie with her as she was in her recliner.

Today soon, the new furniture arrives. Everything but my recliner. The furniture store is delivering it. All custom made with her choice of fabric, and style of couch and ottoman to fit the room. Our living room is a large room, but the fireplace on one end, and the 8 foot wide entrance from the entryway into the living room dictated the entertainment system be on the west wall, and the furniture be on the east wall.

She would ask my opinion on things but all she wanted to hear was "yes dear" and she has good taste, so I honestly don't care. She has yet to admit how much she spent, but she is paying for it with her money, and I don't care.

When I had my 911 engine rebuilt and at the same time had the transmission overhauled, with all new clutch parts she never asked how much I spent. It was more than a hundred bucks!

The furniture arrived. At least I did not have to haul it, as it was delivered.

I finally got the hydraulic cylinder for my lift replaced this morning. Two large circle clips, remove the hoses, push out the large pins and old one is out. New one went in fairly easy. Just some spilled hydraulic fluid spilled.

Done.

Morning all. Not much happened here this weekend. Finished some structural drawings on Friday and read some books.
