I hate stupid government web sites!

We actually have some sales taxes to report, and submit the sales taxes we collected. We go for years at a time with no sales taxes as so many jobs are services only, or to tax exempt organizations. A total of $13.66 to pay. So I logged in the Oklahoma Tax commission site to pay the taxes. It came up and said we have to verify my address in case it changed. No it has not, but I had to retype my entire address so it could verify it.

On the country line, it has every country in the world, and USA is buried down in the U section so I had to scroll down. Why not put it at the top as I bet 99.999999% of the people filling OK sales taxes are in the USA. Then I had too scroll to Oklahoma county, but all 77 counties have sales taxes so that makes a little sense.

Why not have a button, no change from before?

And then I find they have changed where I wile my sales tax on the site, and I can't even find where to pay them. Oh well, I will likely have to sit on tech support waiting for an hour to to get them to help me figure it out. Once before my company taxes we changed on their end to not allow me to file them electronically. I ain't doing in analog!

Wait, you mean water is just falling out of the sky?

We have have clear blue skies and no hit of clouds for a few weeks. The crazy hurricanes are keeping all the moist air east of us and the humidity is very low here. It is a super nice 71 degrees outside.

We are supposed to have another 10 days of clear skies.

Morning all. Off to get a flu shot this afternoon. Then wait to see how bad the reaction is to it.

Tomorrow we have the dealership car show "Motors in the Morning" so free coffee and donuts. They are doing a "Frunk or Treat" Halloween tie in. I have no idea what a Frunk is. My 911 has a trunk in the front. To call it a frunk is stupid, as a trunk in the rear should then be a runk?

I am not going to decorate my car. I may be the Bah Humbug versions. Get off my lawn!

Huge turnout for the Motors in the Morning yesterday.

Today I started on my oil change and valve adjustment for the 911. The oil is all drained, oil filter removed. Tomorrow I will get the heater blower duct-work off and out of the way on the left side, and the then unbolt the AC compressor and lay it on the pad of the fender cover. Then remove the valve covers.

I have to be dressed in my business Polo shirt to deliver some prints for a customer and she will hand me a check. Always worthwhile! After that I change in to my grubby clothes and get to work on the car. It sure is nice to have the scissor lift working and not leaking. The car is up on the second mechanical lock spot, so no pressure on the hydraulics, and the car is secure.

Maybe on Tuesday I will get the valves adjusted and back together.

I did one "while I was in the there" project today. I had the wheels off to clean them and inspect the rocker panels for tire pieces after the HPDE at Barber Motorsports. Not that much tire debris, but a decent clump of gravel and tiny rocks up in the rocker panels. I had to poke it with a long screw driver to break it up, and then used a hose on the vacuum cleaner to suck the crap up and out. All that crap will retain water and many 911s get rust there.

Fall has finally arrived. It was 54 degrees this morning and mid 70s for a high. Finally!

No more 90 degree October days.

The heater duct work on the left of the engine is off, and the AC compressor is out of the way. Air filter removed. Alll the bolts for the valve covers are removed, but the valve covers are still in place to keep debris out of the engine until valve adjustment time.

While it is in the air, I noticed a lot of rubber marks from the tire clag at Barber Motorsports. It will all come off easily with wax. That will l be a tomorrow project.

Send some on down! Our next big chance is from a storm out in the Pacific near Anchorage. It is supposed to pass over Seattle, and keep coming our way next week.
