The issue now is the remote works but the Homelink to the mirror in the El Camino and the 911 will not communicate with the door opener. He has to come back tomorrow.

I take it it's not just re-programming the Homelinks in the cars to the opener? The button inside the garage? You said the regular remotes work.

Yea, the other door, a Genie , with the original opener works with the mirror. The single door space has a Liftmaster brand opener. The motor is mounted to the wall, and it has a bridge connector to talk to the mirrors. That bridge is the part not working. He has not Ben paid as yet, so he will be motivated to find a fix.

That liftmaster opener is super quiet. It is weird how quiet it is.

We drove up to Enid, OK yesterday to visit my MIL. She is 92 now.

It was 99 degrees and full sun on the way back. The AC in the El Camino did OK, but not at 100% as yet. As I suspected, it is a little low on refrigerant still. It was blowing 55 degree not 40 degree air as before. I just delivered a client project prints and it is 8 and cloudy, and was getting the full 40 degree air. Fall is almost here, and I think I will let it slide as we should be about done with HOT weather. I will check for signs of leaks in the spring and then charge it up to the proper levels.

Wooo Hoooo

Fall has arrived. Yesterday we had a cold front to push the heat dome that California and Arizona had for so long, and they pused it east to us. We were having highs in the upper 90s last week. It was 58 degrees and overcast this morning. We had 1/2 an inch of rain yesterday.

Mrs Carrera has been "deep cleaning" the house this last week. She got to my office today. Move everything, clean and put everything back. What fun.

Morning all. Picked up the oldest at the airport Saturday. Helped load the car for the trip South. PHD school starts Wednesday. I predict a trip South soon to make mom happy.

It was 60 and a little foggy here this morning.

My scissor lift is 10 years old and one of the hydraulic cylinders is leaking. I dug around on the Bendpak web site and found replacements. One of my friends worked at a hydraulic lift place for 35 years. I asked about a local re builder. He said the cheap cylinders get scratches and cost more to repair than a new cheap Chinese made one. So I ordered a new one from Bendpak and two arrived.

So I will replace the one leaky one, and just wait for the other one to leak before I replace it.

It is 10:30 here and still 68 degrees. I like it.

Yesterday a single thunderstorm formed just northwest of the metro area. It proceeded to go southeast and started hailing. We got just the edge of it, and some pea and nickle size hail. The core of the storm made go golf ball and tennis ball size hail and wiped out lots of cars, and roofs. The body shops and windshield shops are all doing the happy dance. Lots of smashed windshields front and rear.

No damage here fortunately.

I had fun yesterday evening.

We had to clean the Koi pond filter. The pump is in a filter bag and the bag was covered in alga blobs. I had to remove the pump from the pump box that is full of water. To remove it, the pump has to be off. There is a large Russian sage bush in the way of the plugs. So I needed to turn off the power at the electrical panel.

I recently had a 8 foot florescent light bulb burn out, and the bulb was leaning in the corner by the panel cover. I had to move it out of the way and managed to lean it back enough to get whacked by one of the ceiling fans in the garage. Pow, tinkle tinkle. Cuss words followed by crunch crunch of the pieces of the bulb on the floor.

I shut the power off, and and stuck my hand into the water to retrieve the pump. My finger was stinging and when I pulled the pump and my finger from the water, I was bleeding liike a stuck pig. A blood trail back to the garage. I managed to stop the bleeding and put on my parts washing glove to put the cleaned pump back in the pump box and get the pond waterfall back running.

When I looked at the wound, I knew I needed stitches. More cussing ensued.

So off to the local ER at 7:00 PM to get stitches. Just three stitches. I told the doc I put that hand in the Koi pond water. So he wrote a prescription for antibiotics that I picked up today.

He numbed the finger and it is still numb. And it looks a little swollen. It is weird to have a totally numb finger, but better than pain I guess.

We got back home at 9:00 so a two hour trip to ER for stitch up a boo boo.

Blood and sweat, no tears yet. I am starting to wonder how long my finger will be numb. It is warm to the otheer fingers, and I can bend it OK. Just zero feeling in my right hand ring finger. Of course, I am a right handed guy.

Maybe numb is better than pain, but it should not hurt much now anyway.

Was the finger numb after the cut but before the sutures?

Where is the cut on the ring finger?

Where is the numbness?

How long has it been (hours) since the suturing?
