I'm back. No snow yesterday so it was an easy drive over the pass. Today based on the internet cameras the side of the rod has snow.

The really strange thing was Friday night leaving the mother-in-laws house an owl chasing some dinner flew in from of the CRV. Dinner went under the car and the owl went over the car. Dinner died from going under I think it was a rat. The owl died from hitting and getting stuck in the roof rack cross bar.

Yesterday my wife and I took another couple on a test tour for Parade 2025.

First stop, the 45 foot tall leg lamp in Chickasaw, OK then to a restaurant in Medicine Park. The tour will go on to Mt. Scott and the Wildlife refuge. Hopefully see some Bison and Elk close to the road. Then over to the museum. On the way back they can stop at Geronimo's grave, then get on the turnpike to get back too the hotel.

There are some really nice back roads to get there, and some hills and curves. Way more than Florida, but nothing like Arkansas. And sore nice views of rural Oklahoma. Wheat fields and open range.

It is marked Fragile, likely a major prize!

All my time has been sucked up by the trailer.

The new LiFePo batteries are strapped in. 3500w inverter is wired in. Front half is painted and the new floor should be put in this week. All LED lights now. Still looking for a 12v compressor fridge. With the lights and radio working in the trailer over the weekend we went 4 days and the monitor said we used 7% of the batteries. The main lights use less wattage than one bulb in the original fixtures. Replaced the ambient lighting with LED strips too. Pups love to sit in the back window and look out when they aren't sleeping.

That looks like a lot of work, but it should be fun to use.

Morning all. Windy and going to be wet today. I should be off line later as they are swapping out the electric meter. Seems they don't want to do it hot.

We are supposed to get rain this afternoon. The first in over 45 days. Then more rain over the next few days.

Long ago at my bachelor pad house, I noticed how rusty and old my gas meter was. Then I noticed my gas usage was less and less on the bill. I went one entire winter with almost no gas usage, and only the base payment for service. I kept forgetting to call them.

Then one day, they were here at the front door to replace the meter. I suggested it was fine, but they insisted. So my gas usage suddenly went up for some reason. I had 12 months of super cheap natural gas.

I am assuming they are putting one in that sends them a reading rather than having a person come do it.

Likely. All the new ones can be read from the street as they drive past in a neighborhood. It beats them having to climb fences to get a reading. Ours has bee automatic like that for years. Same with the gas meter. Only the city water meter is read by a human visually.

Whooo hooo. Fall has arrived. It is 47 degrees and the high of mid 70s. We received .79 inches of rain last night. The first rain in 45 days or so.

Perfect weather today. 65 degrees and just a very light breeze. The mean boss's wiife had me slaving in the front garden. we drain the old green water, and rinse it out, and flush and dry the concrete basin. Then I "get" to lift the heavy concrete statue off the pedestal and put it on the ground on a concrete block.

All of that is cleaned, covered and ready for winter.

Sounds like work. It should be avoided at all costs.

It did not take long. And it is done until spring.

Morning all. Fun times here we are having random internet problems. I have had to restart the main router twice in the last 4 days.
