Its rotten eggs, high sulfur content , but its not as bad as the old non synthentic transmission oil.

Tomato juice helps with such problems

Tomato juice mixed with vodka to help you forget the experience?

My wife has some hand lotion that has a slight scent of some sort. It covers up the stink, and does not smell bad at all.

Interest F1 race at Zandvoort. It is a shame it is the last race there, due to FIA wanting more money, and the government does not support the track at all.

The sprint race was pretty boring, but the full race was full of passing and lead changes.

Major news, a new member of my crew is arriving on saturday.
a Blind cat was found outside of Ypres, nobody knows how he got there, nobody claimed him.
Bout 10 years old they reckon, he's in good shape, was neutered, no chip, but very much blind.

Saw that and felt so sorry for him.. Went to see him at the shelter..He is a real sweetheart, kneeds his paws at just the sound of attention.. He a people cat.
Which reminds me of my previous old timer, GP who was 17 when he joined and lived to 25 , passed last year.

My new frien, His 2 weeks wait time are up and he is available, so hes no longer available for adoption. He never was announced, I got him before they had to put him on the website.

His Shelter name is Boris, but he will need a new name in my crew. Boris the Blade was a previous cat of mine, can't have a second hand name anyway.

Something dignified. Stately.
I'm leaning on Winston Churchill, who was a ginger as well.

I was having fun yesterday, and more fun today. I needed gas for the lawn equipment, so I loaded the gas can in the El Camino. I put 2.5 gallons in the can, then filled up the El Camino since I was there.

I drove the 1/2 mile back to house and I turned into my neighborhood, the engine died. No power steering, so I muscled it to park in front of my driveway. I got my wife to help me push it to the curb and park legally. My driveway is up a steep 5 foot hill, to the flat parking area in front of the garages. I was afraid it was a tank of bad gas. I was happy to find out that was not it.

So I had to call for a flat bed tow truck. He loaded it up, and brought it to the top of the driveway, and aimed the bed at the garage. With both of us pushing we got it into my work bay, over the scissor lift. He said it was the shortest distance tow he has ever done.

This morning I cranked up the AC in the garage, got the car in the air at max height on the lift, and cleaned the ground connection for the fuel pump. I sanded it to clean metal, slathered on some electric conductive grease, and screwed it down tight. As a precaution, I used the mechanical stop on the lift, so it can't come down.

The ground connection is in a place only a 100 pound contortionist could get to with the car on the ground. With the car up in the air, it is still a bit of an effort to get to.

All fixed.

100 pound contortionists are generally **** at troubleshooting ground faults on 40 year old cars

Yeah, and hard to find. And Mrs. Carrera would not allow a female version.

They are also handy for getting the bottom left clip back on the air filter box on my 911. It is my most hated part of routine maintenance on my 911.

Thursday sucked here. The replacement wood floor was installed. We had a water leak back in July, and that ruined the corner of the dining room floor. So the entire floor has to come out, and a new one installed. They use a jackhammer with a wide chisel like bade at a angel and that rips out the old floor. It was LOUD! The floor goes all the way from the formal dining room, through the entry foyer, down the hall and to the three bedroom entrances, and the laundry room and bathroom entrys.

Then the worst part was they started with a large floor polisher, only with a sanding disk on it to remove the old glue on the concrete. That created a huge cloud of dust. They had used plastic to isolate the living room and kitchen. They closed the doors to the other rooms. It was such a cloud of dust it set off the alarm system's fire detector. That calls the Fire Department and the alarm company. I was at the panel punching in the shut off mode, and it kept coming on. The alarm company called and I asked them to put it into test mode until 5:00 PM. That shut up the alarm, and I called the fire department and said it was not a fire, so no fire department arrived.

Then the glue they use on the concrete to glue down the boards stinks like sniffing glue. The got pretty much done, and came back on Friday to do a final clean up. Now we, well mostly my wife is cleaning up the dust that got on everything. Washing the front windows, cleaning out the two hall closets, and vacuuming the new floor. It does look nice.

The fun continues!

It has been just stupid hot here. We just finished the 8th hottest August ever, with a lot of 100 degree days. The records go back over 100 years. The AC was not keeping up in the afternoon. The compressor was not kicking on when it got over 100.

The contacts on the power relay were very worn so I replaced it. And "While I was in there" I replaced the start up condenser as it was hot, and starting to swell. Now the AC keep the house cool again.

As there are no other people posting in the thread, I guess I say it was a long and winding road to this point.
