Morning guys.
Haven't been posting yesterday. It was my grandpa's burrial. It was a nice service, a lot more people than I had expected attended.

Happy humpday btw.

Glad to hear he got a nice sendoff G...

It was a rather odd last two weeks with deaths... At work one of my coworkers lost her father, and one of customers died.

I also found out last week that both of my grandfathers remaining sisters passed within a few days of each other. Just weird indeed...

Oh and my world sort of came crashing down around me as well... Don't have time to talk about that though....

There are no answers in the bottle, Sid, although for short term memory deletion, booze is handy...

No G... Much worse...

This is the first time I can honestly say I feel like I have utterly FAILED at something I have worked so hard for...

Pharmacy interviews start tomorrow, I still haven't gotten a letter....

If you don't get a letter, doesn't mean you failed. It's also not the end of the world. There will be another chance. If you've worked so hard, you'll take all the chances given.

Don't dispair yet Sid. I can understand that that must suck big time, but I can't imagine you "failing" this. I wouldn't even see it as failing as you did all you could.

It just means I have to wait another semester... It means that $16/hr job I had lined up is only worth $10, if they will even hire me... It means I will have wasted another semester of my scholarship... I'm looking at about 18k worth of school I have to pay for now, provided tuition doesn't go up anymore..... I have to admit to pretty much my entire family that I FCKED UP pretty big...

The list goes on... My parents were ready for this, I have had a feeling it was coming for a few weeks... Its figuring out how I tell everyone else...

Don't take it too hard Sid...My Nephew tried to get into Pharmacy School. Didn't get in and used the prerequisites to become funeral director. Might sound gruesome, but hey, look at John Temple. And yes my nephew ended up owning a funeral home and living in not only a huge home, but had a group of huge homes on a ranch that his son, sister, and parents all each had their own house. He used the barn for his Mustang collection. He and his wife had a son and did foster care. Adopted 3 of the foster children they cared for. He also fully sponsored the cities, Rolla MO 4th of July fireworks display cause he liked big fireworks displays. Sadly he found out he was type 1 diabetic at about your age and passed from the complications a few years ago, he left his family very well off.

On a weird side note, in HS he did often take is dates parking in the local cemetery.

Sidney, you did not fail! There are a certain amount of spots open and a crap load of Sidneys applying. Like I said, this is life - adult life, up until now, you pretty much got to choose your destiny. Now, others, complete strangers that you may never meet, have a say in your life. I applied to a number of colleges and was not accepted at a number, one that I was really hoping for. Fortunately, there were backups. You applied to one school. Your odds of being accepted went way down.

You are not a failure, you really aren't. You're a good kid, with a good head on your shoulders. Things will work out.

Yes actually I did... I made a D in a class, if I had been paying attention/ going to see my advisor, it would have been caught months ago and I would have retaken the class... Have to C or higher to even be considered... I got lazy my first semester, and now I am paying the price....

I only applied at one school, b/c I only have the prereqs done for my school. I would have to go 2 more years to even think about going to the only other school in the state...

Still didn't fail. You learned a lesson. One of many more to come. Life is full of them. Bet you don't make this mistake again.

I don't know the schoolsystem over there or the procedures and regulations you have to follow but missing out on something this big becuase of one D instead of a C seems really harsh.
Ok, it sucks for you know, but be real, like Dave said, your a good guy, not a bum, you're bound to end up some place good. Despairing will get you nowhere, things WILL pick up.
