Ha ha, time to do something about that ceiling. There are several threads with suitable ceiling covering material.

Rick, what are the chances that you could find an early Fender Strat or Tele at a garage sale around your small towns?? A guitar that the seller may not know enough about and sell for around $100.... One that may be worth somewhere in the $30,000 range...

Slim to exactly none. There are way too many musicians in these parts. and not just the hacks like me, but actual musicians. Trust me I have looked. I want an 1964 strat in Olympic white, only seen one and it belonged to the guy from TX Boogie, is was smooooooth playing.

I'm better at making this stuff work, not using it.

I think I am going to go run around the "hood" with a bb gun and make the place dark. I have no clue why people live in the country yet seem to want to make it bright at night. Move to frigging town will ya

This I can relate to massively. Exactly my sentiments.

An old psychiatrist here used to say that, nowadays it is never dark and quite enough - particularly at night.

Well it is quiet here, but never dark. The old woman across the street has a pole light on at her mailbox and a dusk to dawn light in her back yard. Her and I went round and round about a streetlight she wanted to put up, on the pole on MY property, then when she realized that was a no go she contacted the power company to put one up on her property. Well wouldn't you know it, there are only two power poles that she can hook onto, and they are both on the corners of my property. I refused to grand the right of way for the new lines. I am so mean.
