Our autocross requires lots of 1-2 work with a few 2-3.... Autocross is tight turns, not big sweepers....

Although I also like Latigo (except for the rough bits) and Stunt/Piuma.

Fast Mulholland has some nice turns between the Rock Store and Las Virgines.

There are lots of nice roads out here.

The Snake is not tight turns either. 3rd gear is downhill for less engine braking. Uphill is a lot of second gear, revving up to 6K or more in places.

Not sure if it was your photog friend who named it that. I still think it (the nickname) is totally ghey. Kind of an attempt to garner "Tail of the Dragon"-type fame.

I don't know if it was Paul or the regular riders. Paul is from North Carolina so I have a feeling it was him. He knows the photographers on the Dragon.

It helps differentiate it from fast Mulholland, and it is easier than saying Mulholland Highway (not Drive) from the intersection with Kanan Road down to the Rock Store.

That was an unusual snow for this area, we got several feet several times the winter before last. It sucked big ol' sweaty donkey nads. And it was all Pete's fault

I actually like "The Snake" best on my bicycle. Haven't tried a motorcycle yet.

By the way, how do you learn to ride, before you have your license? Having never ridden a motorcycle I imagine I will need some sort of experience beyond classroom to pass the test?

Do they have track days for beginners?

Like I said it was an unusual winter for us. Sid and Glen get much more snow than I do as a general rule
