Thanks for the pics, Vas. The boys on the Early 911S Registry are being slow to upload their photos. They have had a thread going about the event since last year.

Cool, Max.

Max, is that a 79 or 1980 F1 Williams ?
Allan Jones won the World Champs in 80, that may be an 80.
What do you think ?

I am not that knowledgable about vintage F1, but according to this, it looks like a 1980 to me. If it has no front wing it is in 1980 spec. They used the same basic car for both 1979 and 1980.

Yep, I thought so.

Hey, easy on the "vintage", Max.
I remember watching that year on black and white TV.

Hehehe. Well, that was a whole ten years before I was born. I guess it is not vintage, but its not new either.

Wow, y'all have been busy today. That took ages to come up to speed. We're down on the Great Ocean Rd in Victoria (where Vas hails from) now. Plan on some sight seeing in the morn, will post some pics.

Jeff, spent a few holidays down that way. Loved the twelve apostles the tiny little beaches, before the london bridge collapsed. The Port Campbell Pub, used to be owned by a friends parents so spent a few lost weekends down there as well. Used to climb down the cliffs set of stairs and go to a small beach below the cliffs, which had a tunnel that went to one of the other small beaches. And the huge blowhole cavern, everything is spectacular, take heaps of photos and get out of bed early to get pictures of the apostles, and in the sunset as well.

cheers Azzy, we are actually at a family reunion at Peterbourgh, only 10 min from Port Campbell. We didn't end up doing any sight seeing today afterall. Spent the day with family catching up. Planning tomorrow to get about. We'll see how that turns out as the girls have decided to have a night out at the local pub. I've made plans to take a scenic flight tomorrow along the coast in a helo. Should get some nice pics then.

Nice pics Vas. Looked like a good event. If I'd known it was on I'd probably changed my flight to suit. Although, If I'd changed my flight I wouldn't have got to fly to Melbourne yesterday with Liam Jurrah.

Sounds like it might be safer flying without that guy. A machete issue? I don't want to party with that dude
