It's about on par with Beck's. They play well together.

It's pils, it's what we drink with our food for lunch and you know if it's sunny...
It does the trick

Stella is from the other side of Belgium, bout 160 km from here.
In the old days every town had it's own little brewery, even Boezinge, the smallest town you can think has one.. and still does..

Teh Big breweries like In Bev have consolidated things greatly, a lot of little ones have been eaten up.. Boezinge still has it's own brewery and the pils they make is less like the commercial variants , it's less sweet then the commercial ones who sweeten things for the younger folks.. I actualy like the non sweetened , old school pils.

but like i said pils is more a thing to just do the trick, it's like table wine to us...

This is how it is in Germany too. When I visit Bremen, it's just about all I can find - I'm off the tourist path there. Not the typical Beck's, but some of the smaller brews they, brew. Of course, I can find the typical Beck's as well, for those easy evenings.

Okay, I will submit a bit, but...
"Pilsner beer is generally regarded as different from a lager, but is actually a style of lager."

I think it's the different temps.

but but but ..
IF it's a style of lager THEN by definition pilserner must be lager
Lager means bottom fermented, so is Pilsener
Pilsner means filtration and refrigeration used during the brew..

The other way around would be possible, It could be lager, but not pilsner.. But that's not the case for Stella Artois.. Look it up on the pilsner wiki page, it lists Stella Artois as a Pilsener..

Also ,in Flemish/Dutch, we don't even have a word for lager, we just say "pils", "lager" does not exist around here, you'de have to cross the English Channel to get some..

Fine! How about this!

"Lager (German: storage) is a type of beer that is fermented and conditioned at low temperatures.[1] Pilsner pale lager is the most widely-consumed and commercially available style of beer in the world. Bock, Dortmunder Export and Märzen are all styles of lager. There are also dark lagers, such as Dunkel and Schwarzbier. The term Lager is a cognate of ligrs, Gothic for "place of lying(down)".[2]"

From the wiki page for lager.

Okay, Pilsner is the "light" lager.

In Germany, it is separated into to categories. At the same time, I never really care while in Germany. It's all good beer.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, it's usually free. — The Stick

Of those beers, very very few have tasted bad enough that I didn't finish them.

We also had to hit sweet frogs. We stopped in some store, I have no idea what it was called or what it's theme was but they had something that we have no idea what it was, looked kinda like a shrunken head with a tail, or so David said. I am inclined to agree.
