Oh. Well I am not going to look for it. I have a hard enough time figuring out the timeline thing.
Where was that picture taken on your front page, by the way?

Well i've been half the day trying to get to the broken brake line on the Tacoma.
It broke (rusted out) right where it goes into the brake proportioning valve mounted on the left frame rail above the rear axle. Had to grind off all the nuts (GD rust ) and cut the other two brake lines to get it off.I was going to take the truck bed off to get at it easier but there's no budging those bolts either ![]() I'll have to get a new valve tomorrow as i can't get the fittings out of the old one. Not sure how i'm going to splice those three brake lines back together (not much room to work on flaring them) going to be fun .

Nope... Philmont is the largest youth camp in the world. It is in northern NM and focuses primarily on backpacking...
The diving is a city park in Santa Rosa, NM.... |

Get off my lawn!

Good evening guys.
Pete, I can't even imaging the rust the cars up there must have. I have heard of cars in the rust belt that are just a few years old and rusting out.

One thing I hated about living in New England: how salt ruins everything. Having grown up in SoCal, I can't think of a single time we ever replaced an exhaust pipe on any of our cars, and we usually owned them at least 10 years. In New England, I'd have an exhaust rust out from under me at least every 2-3 years. Even stuff that wasn't exposed to direct salt spray (like various brackets on the top end of the engine compartment) would get coated in surface rust.

Speaking of snow, we took the kids skiing for the first time. I think it's the first time I've been on skis in about 12 years. Just a dusting of snow the first night we were up in the mountains. Here's the view from the condo our first morning there:
![]() And a pic of Mrs. Noah on the slopes. We've never gone skiing together before.

I hate the cold, but I really want to go skiing some day.......
BTW Noah.......you lucky devil! Ugh, got all the fluids done in the Landy......absolute hell trying to get the oil into the gear box......no more blood today, but tons of grease.......I alternated between fluids and grinding away at the bed in preparation for rhino lining......I'd let whatever drain while I did some grinding..........almost done with the grinding/prep.....noticeable difference in driveline noise and shifting with the new fluid and additive (thanks again to lubey for the additive and advice!) |
