I think I will stick with the way my dad suggested and the Gleim book. I had that down 6 months ago and after tonight, I think it will be in my head forever now.

Have a safe drive home.

Ah, got it now. It is hard to tell what numbers we were interpolating between in forum post format.

I never convert/reduce fractions. But then I always have a calculator. Do you have to do it all by hand?

You are allowed a calculator for the written test.

As I've mentioned though, in the end it won't matter as I will have memorized all the questions and answers. I have the actual test. That is the "quiz" I go over each night. I have a program that allows me to break the test questions up into their corresponding chapters. The program also presents the test as it would in a real worl scenario, looks and feel.

memorize the questions, and then use the 1000' foot rule. that's what every airline pilot and air traffic controller uses

actually, we use the for every .1" of change in mercury, the altitude fluctuates by 100 feet. that's how we guesstimate altimeter settings

I thought you just look at the Alt code on the radar screen.

the other night when i had that emergency going to LAX, we asked the pilot what the nature of his emergency was...he replied he was having roll control issues. felt good being an ex-airline pilot...i was able to suggest speed reductions, etc...knowing exactly what the problem was. my coworkers couldnt believe it...felt pretty darn good. sometimes i miss flying...most times i don't.

that works above FL180...but when im radar identifying guys, issuing altimeter settings to guys on approach once they get below FL180, i need to know it. also...any timethe altimeter is below 29.92. FL180 isnt useable for the guys on the SEAVU2 arrival into LAX

Russell Bell: Thought is the enemy.
Nick Falzone: I know. I've been thinking too much. I had that thought actually.

Morning guys.
Dave, kris wants your email. And yes..., also pictures.

Mom taking it badly means she kicked her daughter out...
The ex bf as well, gone.
Still
Exciting times for me because i don't know what she is going to do. I want her with me, of course.
Gf had a rough evening and kinda took it out on me.... It's ok now.
Single life was easier, but less satisfying...
