A lot of guys making replicas will take great pains to spray it at full color, then take it to a tanning salon and rent a tanning bed for an hour. They'll put certain final bits on temporarily, so that the UV doesn't hit those areas.

In the perfect world, none of the guitars would have faded.

Good luck, enjoy life.
Well, you went on a long walkabout alone, yet you came back to a girlfriend and the Stijn thread. I would say that is telling.

Can one go through life without changing? I have generally cared little for what others think and do what I like to do despite them. Now I have more of an interest in fitting in- to meet girls. But I won't deny who I am. A dilemma I face. To change or not? In the end I feel I must continue being myself and let a soul mate come along if that be destiny. Who I am does continue to evolve but I stick to my fundamentals.

Exactly max, I was not looking and I found. Those are the best ones. Be you, that is the most important part of finding someone you can be with long term.

So where/how did you meet if you were not looking? Climbing?

One is constant change.
Once you sart looking into this you can never stop.
As soon as you say, I see it, you are fooling yourself.
That road has no begining and no end, no time, no "I" or "Me".

Enough of that for now.
Howdy all.

So you had "been there, done that" with the alone thing and wanted to try something new?

Boy, those singers who write songs that tug at one's heart strings really have a great idea. Lots of power over the listeners = lots of sales.

Video game companies, too. My roommates have been playing some online video game (first person shooter rpg) for the past 4 days pretty much constantly. Yesterday (or today) they were going until at least 2:30 AM.

I just don't get it.

No, Max.
There is nothing bigger than that.
I once went on walkabout for 3 years, and that just the start.
18 years so far of looking into these things.
I know of an Indian man that sat under the same tree for 32 years.
He went to talk to the sage, J Krishnumurti in the 1980s after it all.
In the words of Krishnumurti, "sent the poor chap crazy"
Relax, Max.
But it is important to look into. IMO.

I'm still envious of your walkabout, Vas!

Max, Vas has good advice.

Thanks again. I appreciate all the comments. They all make me want to give up IT and go full time into guitars/woodworking.

I'm sorry you did not get to see it in person yourself. Next time.

Was it cottage cheese, paint, textured plaster?

Well, look at all of you having deep conversations about relationships without me. Very impressed.

Wise words expressed by everybody here.

I have been married and to tell you honestly, sometimes my loneliest times were when I was married. Because you expect that person to support you and then they aren't there? That's loneliness... To be in a roomful of people and to be totally ignored, or laying in bed next to the person you love and they aren't talking back to you. It goes the other way too I have found. Although other people may look at me and say,"oh, she's alone", I have never felt less alone. I have so many friends to count on and support me.

So don't be afraid to be alone. Alone means a lot of different things. But don't be scared to be happy either.

And don't be a girl and overanalyze things. Sometimes the wave is meant to be ridden, not fought. And where you end up is exactly where you were meant to be. She's out there, Max. And she'll get to you... Sooner or later. Until then, enjoy the journey.

Well I talked to the Dalai Lama and he told me that on my death bed I would receive total consciousness.

So I got that goin' for me.

Which is nice.

I don't even remember what got me/us started on that.

I'm pickin' up what you're layin' down, Tweeze. In the engineering world we would just say paralysis by analysis.

But like I said, everything is fine until I have a break from my activities. Then I realize I am not alone strictly by choice anymore. I want to live my life for more than just my own enjoyment. I can get some fulfillment from creating inventive engineering stuff. But when I run out of that, I seek it elsewhere.

i took my CFI FOI and regular CFI written in literally 15 minutes. when i called the proctor, he asked if the computer goofed up...i just said "no, im done." got a 100 on both. and im no scholar.

ATP was a different animal. but for Private, you can easily knock it out in a weekend.

Welcome to the thread, Mike. Is this your first visit? We seem to have more followers of Stijn! every day.

Good night all.

Mike, I will be at the POC race at Willow on the 21 instead of the Festival of Speed.
