One word: MILFs.

We've attended 6 birthday parties in the past 2 weekends. I got totally chatted up by a pretty blonde mom yesterday. Too bad I'm not a participant in Max's competition.

I've seen this mom several times in the past at school-wide events. Never knew who she was, though. Mrs. Noah actually has mentioned in the past that she thought this mom was pretty. Last weekend Mrs. Noah met this mom (at a birthday party, of course) for the first time, as our kids are in the same class. Yesterday I took the kids to the parties and this mom introduced herself to me. We chatted for a bit. Mrs. Noah said that that was it. From now on, I'm no longer allowed to take the kids to any birthday parties.

Dang it, just found I didn't empty my pockets before throwing stuff in the washer. Had to glue the handle sides back on the pocket knife. All my pocket money has be laundered as well as wallet, cards and IDs. The wallet never looks as good after a trip through the washer.

After plucking tiny pieces of paper out of a fleece jacket, I religiously check pockets before I wash clothes....

Um, no. With a PPL, I can only ask for compensation to reimburse for half of the expenses incurred. It would cost both of us way more, than to drive - even if I drove you there and back.

I think the studying is done for the night. I can't take this anymore. I just passed a simulated test with an 85% and I didn't answer all the questions.

Thanks Tweeze, I plan on doing so. I should see her tomorrow afternoon and I will do my best to chat at least a little bit with her.

Now, time to hit the books and then some more practice tests for the rest of the evening.
Cool! Good luck, Dave. You can do it!

So Friday my computer started out slow but I thought it was just the internet. Then after I signed off to do some homework I tried to go back on about 9pm and the computer was unusably slow. I tried various things and then a system restore to a couple days ago. I hadn't changed any programs or installed anything but I tried it anyway. Then it started throwing BSoD's after I tried to do anything after loading windows. So I undid the restore and the problem persisted. I took it to the geek squad and the guy suggested using the hard drive partition to reset it to factory settings. I did that and it fixed the problem. But that meant driving home to get some software discs. I spent the rest of Saturday and most of today installing software and loading the data I had backed up onto the computer again. Then I had to finish the composites homework I was unable to with all the computer problems. I am just glad that it does not look like the hard drive is bad like the geek squad guy suggested it could be.

I did get a bike ride in on Saturday. From my room to the top of Prefumo Canyon Road and back. But coming home and dealing with the computer stuff meant I missed the chance to go take pictures of the 356 club meet here in SLO. Oh well, I got to ride my bike on Mulholland so I got two nice rides in.

I'm also using Firefox now. I like it better than IE actually. And much better than Chrome.

I just can't download the Flash plugin for some reason so Stijn's video did not show up.

Why didn't GS test the drive? If a sector(s) failed and you do a restore, sure you can fix the BSOD, spend all that time reloading crap, potentially losing data you didn't back up, only to have the issue comeback with a vengeance.

Because he showed me how to do the restore for free. It would have cost money to do a diagnostic.

And I just wanted the computer to work, now! Seems to be fine for the moment.

Hey All,

I went wheels up with a migraine last Thurs arvo. Been popping codeine and living in the dark until yesterday arvo. Should be good now for a while. That codeine stuff really plugs you up.

Nice photos Max, hope the lady thing work out for you.

Good luck in the test tomorrow Dave.
