Well lets see, yeah I have a husband looking for me. Big deal, I will break his frigging knee caps if he even thinks about coming after me. Nothing I am worried about but don't need the drama, for doing nothing. Oh well.

Now D, lets see, you may be okay if you bought some cheap dollar general paper towels, but if you have the brawny brand, those are fairly tough and may really screw the pooch.
Actually all jokes aside, a bore scope down the intake and through the plug holes will answer your question if you have a paper towel in there. If you do it will burn up and pass, you can just let the engine idle until it clears up. (do not rev the engine)I would do that before pulling the head, if it works great, if it doesn't you pull the head then.
Providing you have a paper towel in there (I don't recommend these as a substitute for ethanol) and it does pass through, if you have a cat on the car you may end up with an issue there.

edit: oh, i know there were towels in there. i already pulled the intake off, again, and found them. and they were the expensive viva brand ones that are like cloth. very thick.

no, it is not good. i did have a thought.... cylinders 1 and 2 are clean. cylinder 3 has a wad of paper towel in it the size of my palm, roughly. cylinder four may be clean. perhaps i can pull the spark plugs of 3 and 4, clean 3 and inspect 4. if all goes well, put it back together and fire it up....

It was a pleasure to talk to ya D. We now have a plan of attack. I will say that even though we are dealing with a quality type of paper towel we are not facing a full sized one, just one of those half sized, hand puppet sized, picked before they were ripe type.

I think there are better ways to muffle an engine than packing it with paper I might be wrong I'm not a professional and don't play one on tv either.
