Hey Rick, tonight is fun time in the garage. My hoses are all fixed up and ready. So first flush the condenser and evaporator, hook everything back up, pull a vacuum, pressurize with nitrogen, check for leaks, pull a vacuum, pressurize one more time with nitrogen just because of the flush, pull a vacuum for 30 minutes, charge the system and enjoy cold air. Does that sound like fun?

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm
No
I like my way of doing it much better. Hook up machine, punch a few buttons, program the times and amounts and wait for it to beep.
I actually wish I did more AC work, I used to make gravy money doing it.

Evening

Bloody cold out here this morning. Had to find a beanie to stick on my head before venturing outside to the car. Brrrrrrrrrrr!

Yea, AC work is pretty easy. I have a homemade vacuum pump/compressor to suck out the R12 and pressurize it into my recovery tank. It works fine but there is nothing automatic. The dry nitrogen is just my over engineering. I get a great vacuum and the system works great.

The Dr. Likely did pressurize your innards. Did the wait for you to fart in the recovery room? I hope they did not pressurize you as much as my AC system!

Don't envy you Pete. Not an enjoyable experience (the prep really), I hated drinking all that salt water and moving the tv to the dunny for the day.

Hope everything checks out okay for you.

It is the first time I have seen it bloom, but since it only blooms for one night and the bud seems to have grown quickly it is unknown how many times my parents missed it before I was born, when I was too small to notice, or when I was away at school. They would not have seen it this time if I was not there.

It grows towards the light so it would have ended up squished against the window on the back side of the cactus if I had not pulled the pot away from the window a bit and opened the curtain.

I have this plant call a mother-in-law's tonge or snake plant.

We've had it since I was a kid and it has only bloomed once in 50 years.
