If it gets up to 73°F from the usual setting of 72°F I start sweating.

When I was in my 20s to 40s I was very warm natured. I preferred 68 and lower temps. I remember looking over at my dog and she was curled up in a tight knot to stay warm. I realized is was cool in the house and got up from my computer and turned on the heater. It was 60 degrees in the house and I was in my typical t-shirt, and jeans. I can remember thinking it was HOT when it was 72 degrees.

Now I like it a little warmer, but not above 72 inside.

Ahhhhh a nice warm restaurant. It is still 60 deg in the office. The repair guy is there. He said there was a short. I told him to lengthen it.

The heater is back on. I can take my jacket off at work!

The guy that showed up was amazed at the dual burner heater we have. He said either unit would heat the building OK. Why we have a overkill heater is a mystery the former owner would have to answer.

The former owner never did things 1/2 way, and spending money was never an issue. He did not owe anyone any money and the business was making good money. If he was looking for a pair of scissors and could not pick up a pair within reach he would go buy a couple more pair. At one point I bet we had 40 pairs of scissors around here.

We threw out hundreds of rolls of typewriter correction tapes. We still have a typewriter up front only because it is heavy and it is a shame to throw it in the trash. We have several lifetimes supply of staples and paper-clips. I think he bought some each time he went to the store "just in case" we might need some.

I remember the good old days when you were greeted with several emails of tits and bums every morning at work. Damn you politically correct BS!

Hehe
When I was a shift worker, I came into work one morning and the guy coming off the night shift seemed very chirpy during the handover. The handover was very quick and short as he said the night was uneventful. When he turned around and walked out of the workshop, his whole back was covered in a thick layer of carpet fluff. Hmmm, I couldn't put my finger on it, but something didn't quite add up?

So that grouse will cost about a thousand dollars a pound? . My parents loved to bass fish in a boat. My dad calculated his fish was about 1500 per pound that first year.

meh. let's say i got 8oz of meat off of it, which i think is about right.

i am into it two shotgun shells and maybe $40 in fuel. so, let's call it $82/lb, plus my time.

however, i am already in much better physical shape than i was three weeks ago. AND i've been having a blast. i've seen some things i'd never have seen. as for the moose, i'll probably never have that experience again. i was the one that pointed out the moose's position to the guy hunting.

I worked at a professional photo lab for many years. We had one employee that would go into a dark room and take a nap. The door was closed and the first rule of dark rooms is NEVER open a dark room door unless you are willing to bet your paycheck. We would pound on his door and it would take a while but he would say DARK. That means he had light sensitive material out. He would eventually come out and he had the pattern of the carpet pressed into his face. He did not have a job for long.

Myself and two mates took a half day fishing charter off Weipa a couple of years ago. The aim was to land our first Barramundi each. The cost for the charter was $500. The result was three barely legal Fingermark Bream. We still refer to those fish as the 'gold plated Bream'.

No doubt the hobby factor is most important. You can't put a value on the enjoyment. It is like the cost of my autocross. 20k car and 20 bucks to make 8 runs. Kinda expensive but worth every penny.
