Dammit! I thought I was going to be rid of the iteration method for this vehicle dynamics program solving for maximum lateral acceleration but I guess not. I tried a 9x9 matrix that I got from 9 equations but the darn thing is singular.

Looks like I almost back to square 1 (pun intended). Maybe I can use the Newton-Rhapson method or at least get it to converge quicker in matrix format.

If that blondie engineering chick on your FSAE team doesn't fall asleep or go cross-eyed when you talk like that, don't let her get away!

Sending you a PM as we speak... Travel is a lot. Pay is good. Job is hard. Not physically. SpHb is a new technology. Easy concept but the functionality in the clinical environment vs the cost is a difficult one to overcome, especially in light of the healthcare financial constraints. But more in my PM without boring the rest of the Stijn thread.

LOL.

She at least won't be running away since she needs me to help her with the vehicle dynamics labs.

I found out her twin sister graduated already, and with a dual major to boot....

in communications and sociology.

I think Regan from the POC majored in communications as well. I am still not really sure what that entails you studying for 4 years. Grammar and punctuation? Persuasive speaking? How long does that take to learn?

Well, they have laid off 5 sales people as well as clinical people... Sweating a little bit even though my boss keeps telling me corporate loves me. Reaching out to my contacts just in case. Luckily, a lot of people love me so I don't anticipate it being difficult to find another job quickly if this little start up goes belly up. Had a hiring manager of another big medical device company tell me based on my resume that I am a shoe in for a clinical specialist job at his company. Let's hope he is right...

Second pole class tomorrow. I will fill you in, Rick. This is the "peel" class. We were supposed to wear heels to the last class but I forgot. Don't know if I am brave enough to wear them to this class.

And it's official. Ex has lost his job as of middle of November he is unemployed.

Bought my son an aquarium for his birthday because he begged for one. Now thinking I am in over my head...

Tip #1 not all the world revolves around engineers, and most of the world doesn't like being looked down your nose at.

Tip #2 don't bash a girls sister if you want any sort of a relationship with her.

Tip #3 at some point you will be working for someone with a business degree, or a communications degree, or god forbid, maybe even an art degree. Just because they didn't go to engineering school, doesn't mean they aren't intelligent. It just means they have different interests.

For gods sake max, try having an open mind... Just once....

Nope... Marketing.. They are closely related...

But without comm folks, and marketing folks, nobody would know what the engineers are designing, and there'd be no one to sell it...

Slight variation to the 917 knob. I think the one on the right is more accurate. One thing that you can't see in the pic (or real well in person), is that each layer mahogany is actually three pieces. Since this was a one-off, I was also able to lay the maple perpendicular to the mahogany. This way, the chatoyance offsets each wood. The thickness of the mahogany layers was also increased and the maple decreased.
