I always figured the lottery is a tax on the mathematically challenged people. Sort of a stupid person tax.

I like that! Can I use it? Let me guess there is a tax or fee to pay.

Only math challenged people buy lottery tickets.

I'm not sure just how the lottery thing is supposed to sustain itself if were actually doing what it is supposed to. The money made from the lottery is supposed to improve education. Improve education and people will not buy tickets. I guess I was assuming they would actually improve education.
I've told people I see buying a lottery ticket that I was taught math when I was in school and I know what odds mean.

Their response would be that even though the probability of a lottery ticket actually winning the lotto is infinitesimally small, it is still infinitely greater then the probability of winning without a ticket.

Home client called today. I called back and he's a bit angry/frustrated with me. Says he can't print and it's been that way since I installed a new wifi router about a month ago. He says he has talked with Epson and that the password I gave him is incorrect. I have no clue what he is talking about. The wifi password has nothing to do with the printer, which he keeps referring to as being offline. I told him I'd be happy to come out and take care of it several times, but he keeps saying that he'll try putting it online - after I mention that this is possible.
I find it funny that he's frustrate with me, having to print all of this important stuff, yet he waited a month to call. I asked him why he did not call a month ago and he says that they've been away or busy. Sheesh.

My version of winning the lotto;
Some years ago, Toyota ran a end of year add campaign selling their 4cl Landcruiser Prado. I'd been into the local dealer earlier that week on a day off doing some tyre kicking and just so happened, I ended up with a quote for a V6 Prado. The price was a bit out of my reach at the time so it was just filed away. The add for the 4cl got my attention and because I'd just done this research, something wasn't quite right about it as I thought I saw a misprint in the obligatory fine print at the end of the add. So I got orgainsed and recorded the add. Scrutinising the add with extreme scrute, the fine print actually said that the advertised price was for the V6 model and that no conditions applied. Whoohoo! This was now within the budget - about $10K less than the quote. The next day I went to the dealer with the recorded add and told them I'll have the V6 for their advertised price. The shock on the dealers faces was priceless ![]() Had a brief meeting with the dealer principal and the Toyota state manager on the final day of the add campaign at COB. This was so that I couldn't tell the world at the time and thus they wouldn't have more punters on their door for the same reason. The first thing they did was confirm I was serious (bloody oath I was) about the offer, and next I was told I was the luckiest person in Oz. No one else had spotted the error in the add so they were going to honor the terms of the add. This also meant that I could have any colour and trans option (as the add said 'no conditions apply'). The next working day we picked up our new lotto win.

Bum! I know what that feels like. Recently purchased a TENS machine to help loosen up a pesky back muscle. Seems to be helping.

I got mine on the cheap out of china. The chinglish translation on the packet meant that it called itself a 'Personal Stimulator'. This subsequently raised an eyebrow ![]() I just use it on my back, honest
