Lol reminds me of the taser story....the one where the guy says how bad could it be as he tases himself.

I must say that I wish I could take a taser or two home with me when we leave the good old US of A, they are illegal in Oz. Mace too, I would take those little pocket sized spray cans home but again not allowed. Spoil sports.

I'm sure they could be stashed and shipped in a rather large container. Say one of those cabriolet things....

Amazing even the little mace pocket size ones are illegal. I have never purchased one but I got one in a goodie bag at a conference I attended.

All of those just seem like a good way to piss someone off.... If I'm going to be carrying a weapon, I want to STOP the threat, not slow it down...

A taser will not just slow you down. It'll stop you temporarily. BTDT, as mentioned before. Real mace will also stop you, also as mentioned before.

So I caught one of my kids on TV this evening's news. He went on a class fieldtrip down to the Wax Museum. (Don't ask me why.) Apparently it's the opening of the new E.T. exhibit, so lots of press there for the event. And his class was the one they used for the photo ops. Both his teacher and the school's Rabbi (who has one child in the same class) were interviewed for a bit, too.

No tasers involved, fortunately.

I saw the pic. Does he even know what/who E.T. is?

Looks like I'm going to the Dylan show this weekend in town. Another couple bought 4 tix and asked us along. OK, I'm not a Bob Dylan megafan, but he is one of the rock icons of all time. I'm game. And then my wife just informed me that opening for him is Mark Knopfler (and I have been a big Dire Straits fan since HS).

Surprisingly, yes. We've never watched the movie, but it's still in pop culture enough that at his age he's aware of the general story. He'd be able to pick E.T. out of a police lineup of intergalactic space aliens, at least.

Well we can't do that either, I think that someone in law enforcement wants to tip the scales to their side, them... guns, us... stick!! No knives, pocket knives, mace, tasers, knuckle busters, truncheons, no fun at all, just your fists, and we girls aren't (normally) into that either.

howdy Jim, hows your day shaping up, me I have already vacuumed got the dish washer going, washed the floors, now once the floor in the kitchen dries I can have the morning coffee... life's tough when your not working ... for money anyway.

Still waiting for the green light from Department of Homeland Security and the embassy to start working again in the US as an Aussie Air Force Reservist . So as I am not employed I am trying to convince the hubby that I should fly out to Utah if this car pans out and drive home... he's not going for it. But don't fancy shipping it, unless someone knows a really good reputable firm, been internet surfing on the topic and some have some pretty shocking reviews, so not sure what to do there.

Searched the forums and some of the stories , horror.

Good morning folks.

Azzy, so the good ol super efficent Homeland Security is keeping a Austrialian Air Force Reservist from working here.

Wow, I feel a LOT safer now.
