I think I don't have bad knees because I don't push myself hard. I don't run hard. I also swim sometimes. That's really good if you have bad knees.

I guess I am not terribly surprised, the group who currently participate seem to have some common bonds and proximity that makes it a nice place for them to converse and offer support laced with a degree of humour. Glad to see people playing nice....but can also see where an outsider, even if the thread is named after him, may not fit well or really have anything to offer.

The time differential is also an issue, certainly when I am in NL it makes things out of sequence...when I am working in US or Canada things would of course be easier that way.

I'll probably just lurk a bit, point of my message was to find out if Stijn was also lurking (I think not)....

Take care all,

D.

Cloggie, don't just lurk. Chat. I love hearing people's opinions and especially if it was someone put of the country. Interesting to see another's perspective. And I am up late so sometimes I might comment on something you post.

Good evening all, just getting ready for supper. Been planning vacations ( I am thinking of retirement....question is which side of the ocean) and discussing with my Floridian friend as to whether we can rent a condo near her in Jacksonville. Wife wants to see the turtles emerge and help guide them to the ocean. Personally I think she has ulterior motives - she is Japanese - and just wants to keep the supply of turtle soup going.

I do get the giggles about the various ladies in states of undress (side boob Saturday et al) ...pretty tame by Dutch standards as anyone can see more than that live just by touring the Walletjes where the windows are just waiting for customers. Some of those girls are quite sharp, university educated and just have figured out that they can make far more on their backs than on their brains....sigh.

Anyway, got a number of friends with cancer (very sad), one just had a stroke and it makes an old fart like me think about enjoying the fruits of my labour....

Might have a short gig in Copenhagen next month, which would be nice....those Danes certainly can party. I was there for their Mardi Gras a few weeks ago....lots of beer, fun, noise and skin....

D.
