Good afternoon folks. Whew busy day. Got a haircut, raked up three bags of leaves, cleans the pond filters, ran to Target to get my dad some pajamas, went to see the dog we will likely get in a few weeks, went to see dad, then we went to see Circ du soley (however the heck it is spelled) and we just got back. The show was cool. We were on the second row so up close to the action.

I went for a drive in the 911. A fellow Pelican wanted to record the sound for a ringtone. He thinks he got some ignition interference so looks like we need to try again.

But it was fun to have an excuse to make as much noise as possible up the snake. I could have gone faster by shifting to 3rd at the bottom but 2nd was louder.

It was starting to rain (and the car does not have wipers installed nor side windows, not to mention the tires are not the best rain tires), so we could only do a couple runs but I took it up to 7,000rpm several times, so I hope there are some usable segments of the recording.

If he was using a mic on a longer cable. Use a couple of RF chokes on either end.

Doing this in 2nd gear will not be very exciting. BTDT and ridiculed for it.

The mic was integral to the recording thingy. I suggested trying a faraday cage if it really is ignition rf noise.

I did 1-2 ad sometimes 1-2-3 which should be good for a ringtone, the 2nd gear through the Snake probably won't be so exciting. Next time I will try second and third. Not sure if having the video and audio together helps or hurts.

I enjoyed my first beer and most every one since. I did not get into coffee until my 30s. Always black coffee, never tried the cream and sugar versions.

Coffee houses were becoming all the rage when I was in HS. I did drink double espresso's for a time and see how it is an acquired taste. After I got out of that faze, I dropped the coffee as well.

I like the smell of coffee, like when you go through the gormet coffee bean aisle in the market, but if I drink it I just feel like "that was a mistake". Unless there is so much cream/sweetener that it masks the flavor- in which case, what is the point?

I used to like chocolate-mocha ice cream.
