Oh boy. We are up extra early to continue the process. This is worse than moving. There is not enough places to put stuff. The carpet layers are supposed to be here at 8:00. I am not holding my breath that they will be on time. I can't see how they can R&R the carpet in a day when we have to move everything from room to room.

LOL. Right after you posted that video, I shut down my computer and started getting cleaned up before I left for work. I'll try to check it out some time during the day.

Glen, they'll get it done somehow. My wife and I are going to rip out the existing tile flooring in our house. We'll pull out and preserve the baseboard moldings. We'll probably rip out the carpet tack strips, too. When we do put new flooring in, it looks like we'll put in cork, everywhere except the bathrooms.

Yea the carpet guys showed up an white stuff was falling fast and heavy. We had to park two of our cars outside to give them room to cut the carpet in the garage. Since I have lots of light and a heater they are loving it. I had to fix the hot glue gun of the lead installer. The cord was cut at some other job and they had masking tape holding it together sort of. I soldered the wires and used heat shrink tubing to repair it.

You are so nice, Glen.

And Dave, so what happened that you got locked out of your house? I understand the story leading up to it but how did you get back in? Hopefully you were dressed warmly?

Good morning fellas. Dad is in town visiting. In fact lots of people in town visiting. It's fun seeing old friends but at the same time, tiring.

What are all of you doing for New Years? My girlfriends want to do some fancy club party thing. Not up for it. Would rather curl up on the couch with some hot cocoa and watch Top Gear that Christien sent me for the gift exchange. Blech! Pretentious people, expensive drinks, and having to get gussied up.

Working on the house during the day. Maybe watch a DVD or two in the evening on my wife's PC as we don't have cable/internet/TV at the house yet.

New Year's Eve revelry lost its luster for us quite a while back. As a holiday, it's right up there with Columbus Day, Presidents Day, etc.
